  1. 3 hrs one way is my max. But I do it regularly:)
  2. I like how you sped it up on the turn and he nailed it. I usually slow down on the turns and speed up on the straightaways. He really wanted that thing.
  3. Nice job Josh!!!!! Solid Kawartha fish and good numbers. The big ones like to come off for me too:( Landry
  4. I use my name. It makes me think twice when I post versus being anonymously internet tough.
  5. Bahamas bonefish - Flyfishing
  6. That was awesome! Congrats.
  7. I jumped in the lake three times. Lol.
  8. Nice job Mike. I recognized your boat I thought anyways. Pretty sure I saw you out there casting in the morning. We were the other line boat out in that area. We did well:)
  9. Very cool Lew.
  10. Here is the area for the fishs tail to hopefully cover:)
  11. My friend gave me some free lexan so I made up a bump board. Can't wait to slime it up:) total cost was $15. The lexan was so thin I had to rivet the hinges on. No matter how I attached them there was gonna be some metal against the fish so I added plastic straps to cover it up at the joint.
  12. If u r just getting started in musky fishing then I would recommend the Kawarthas. They have a ton of muskie and you should be able to get a few fish or more in the 40-48" range in a week IMO. "Lunge Haven" in sturgeon lk is reasonable and the fishing in that area is really good. If you decide to go there send me a PM and I will give u more info as I used to fish that end of the lake for muskie regularly and we did very well.
  13. Bay city marine seems them. Hamilton.
  14. Those hybrid ducers often cause a rooster tail. If it is in the water and clicking it is likely okay. Check the settings on your unit.
  15. I had bad coils and it was similar. Sounds like they checked fuel related issues. I have always found Bay City marine to be awesome and they will water test it. Landry
  16. Anyone mind PMing me about Guelph lake? Was thinking if fishing it next week as I am in Cambridge. Wanna fish smallies mostly. Was wondering if it's worth the trip. Gonna fish from my boat using electic troll motor. Thanks Landry
  17. Guide wear often goes on sale on their US site each fall. Wait and watch. I got the full guide wear suit for around $200. Great deal and it has been flawless.
  18. Your photos r amazing.
  19. Those r really big pike.
  20. That's a very nice boat Lew.
  21. Go to Honey Harbour or Detroit R on a Saturday. That explains why OPP patrols are absolutely needed and purposeful. Boaters drive full throttle thru narrow cuts and many have absolutely no understanding of regulations, courtesy and safety. They can barely dock their boat without incident in many cases. I grew up in Honey Harbour and have seen some seriously messed up behaviour and accidents. If you don't speed and have your safety stuff then it's all good. Landry
  22. I have a twenty year old islander that is rock solid and smooth as silk. It is heavier than the newer models. U can find prettier reels but, despite what many steelheaders think, it's not a fashion show:) I rarely steelhead anymore but I would never sell it - ever. Landry
  23. Lol. Good luck casting them though. Might need a 12 weight.
  24. Went flyfishing for carp for a few hours with a friend for Fathers Day. Got 5 but they r just starting to hit the shallows due to low water temps. Was fun anyways. Landry
  25. Used and new boat prices are perty high IMO. shopping a bit may just inspire u to refurb yours. If the transom is solid then I would save the $$$ for a repower after as needed.
