  1. I did the exact same thing to a 90 14' sea nymph about 12 years ago. It was fun and I loved the boat. I love boat mod or refurb threads. Nice work. There is a great used minn kota on the lake simcoe board right now I believe. 150 obo and it looks perfect for your boat. There is also a really well priced lowrance elite 5 listed there too. Landry
  2. A bass boat with a Chudeigh Apple Farms wrap fishes bass preseason in Puslinch Lake every year - pitchin and flipping jigs in a lake that has walleye but very few. This same donkey cut me off on a shoring by about 75' when I was fishing along the shore with my kids.
  3. Bill is correct. As u get more comfy float fishing u will get a sense for what they will do next. Never palm the reel. Apply varying finger pressure as needed - go easy when they run or jump and apply more at other times... They r great fish fighting reels - way better than a spinning reel.
  4. That is not a fishing boat. It's a nice boat.
  5. Fish a river all summer for bass with it to learn. Try drifting small senkos it gulp minnows. The bass love em.
  6. Go easy on the initial poster There is no excuse for what the salesman did.
  7. The jigging spoons are garbage?????
  8. The acme baits are awesome and these r identical.
  9. I would start with three: 1. A double 8 or 10 bucktail in black and nickel 2. A white tube around 9-10" ( fish it like a jerkbait) 3. A couple mag dawgs (black n orange and Cisco) 4. Swim jig:) I like to start with some speed and then move to a jerk and pause type lure if they don't seem active. Developing confidence in a few lures and learning one lake is usually better than throwing every lure in the box and following the latest hotspot tip IMO. STart on the kawarthas so u have some eat success and action and then move where the big girls live.
  10. They r acme Kastmaster clones.
  11. Just a heads up. Dollarama has jigging spoons for 1$. Swap the hooks out and they will be a great white bass, smallie or niagara bar jigging spoon setup. I bought a bunch from 7 - 13 grams in weight.
  12. The swivel eze 238 comes in 27" fixed. That is what I use. It is a good height for me at 5'8".
  13. He is a clearly not a nice man and there are lots of stories going back to high school apparently. My grandpa was a nice man. He came back from WW2 an alcoholic and was not so nice for a period of time. He battled and rebounded and returned to being himself. Being an alcoholic or drug attic does not make one a bad person but some bad people become alcoholics. I think Rob Ford is in the latter group.
  14. Where did find those 42 moments. I would like to see them all.
  15. His show is by far one of the worst amidst a bunch of mostly bad fishing shows - yet I still watch WFN - I can't stop myself!!!!
  16. I am amazed anyone would support this tool. He is a disgrace. But whatever - it's hard to find a politician that isn't. He is verrry entertaining though:)
  17. You are an adventurer. Wow. I love your photography.
  18. Pigeontroller is correct. Fair price and great batteries.
  19. Wow - I hope your boat is different than Mikes BUT it does not sound good. You have owned boats before so Believe your gut if it tells you something is not right. That is just Bull - I would be so royally pissed off if that happened to me. I would get back in there ASAP and demand a different engine. They can surely ran yours up and sell it as new on a different rig. They should know how a package performs if they are selling it.
  20. That sucks!!!! I feel for you. My boat rests a little ass heavy but it planesike a champion. Something sounds fishy. It may be better on flat water. Sounds like too much motor weight. Try moving your two trolling motor batteries and anchor to the bow (yes I know the bouncing can be bad on the batteries). A new prop may help. Take a pic of the transom so we can see how low the boat transom is sitting in the water at rest and post it too. How heavy is the motor?? My 16' crestliner has a 350lb 75 optimax on it.
  21. I care about renewable clean energy - everyone should. It is one of the most important issues facing the world now. As for the liberals - they are liars, crooks and self-serving people. Unfortunately, their replacement will be equally as unlikable, greedy... I do not care for politicians - most high level politicians are owned by big business and scum.
  22. Vinegar works great. Magic eraser will work but it is a subtle abrasive.
  23. Try ebay. I had some crestliner logos made up for my repainted traet a couple years ago and they were cheap and worked good.
  24. I have the balog ones. I hardly tested them last year. The few smallie trips I did - I did well drop shotting so that is likely why. I also spend most of my summer muskie fishing. I will try them more this year. They would be great dragged on erie or at Clair I think.
