Google the model and problem. it may be a cheap part. Happened to my 2 year old TV and it needed a new circuit board. Was 80$ and has been perfect for two years now. U may get lucky like i did.

Cliff. I have only met u once but u are clearly a good man. Don't sweat it and best wishes / good luck. And I am sure you will be pleased that November 11 has just been declared a National Holiday. Canada, and amazingly - politicians, is still getting some things right:) Landry

Nice job. When did u film this?

I have had an islander pacific steelheader for nearly 25 years. Still flawless.

Good luck Lew and Diane. Landry

Smart cracks aside - Cliff is bang on. I try to treat her as well it better than she treats me and she treats me perty darned good. I used to ask but now u just run it by her as a courtesy. I don't want to be in a relationship where I need permission not would I want one where I just did whatever "I" wanted.

That's funny Bill. It's a nice fish. 7 pounds tops I think though.

My wife is awesome. She usually has no issues. Having said that I put family first almost always. But there is and always will be a reason not to go. I have noticed that if I fish 15 times a summer she will be absolutely convinced that it was 30. The only time she gives me grief is when she has a few drinks - then the truth comes out. Lol.

Rafs advice is spot on. Start eighting every cast if u can't clearly see bottom and way out and under. U will find out why soon enough. They come out of nowhere. A 5600 is big enuff IMO. It will match a 7'6" H nicely which is what I would buy first. If u get the sickness bad enough you will soon be throwing massive baits and double tens on 8'6" XXH rods.

I actually had an American casting guide purposely circle my boat (closely) and set up one and a half casts downwind of us this summer on St Clair. We had been fishing the area for ten hours and he apparently thought he owned it cause it was a definite statement to us. We just shook our heads and moved a bit.
-
Looks like fun. However, if I am casting an open water area on L St Clair and a troller expects me to move as he approaches - well that does not make any sense to me at all. If he drove into your lines then that is a different story.

It gets the musky going.

Grumpy. I get your point. Keep our comments and wishes reasonable. He should be fined and suspended to the max allowable for this - nothing more. I vote for lifetime suspension if it can be proven that he is a repeat offender but he may still keep hunting and fishing anyways. This event will likely not change his behavior but it may at least put him on the MNRs radar and send a message to others.

He deserves it. He should not be harmed or threatened but he should be shamed. It's not blown out of proportion. The only people beating this to death and getting enraged are online fisherman like ourselves. This issue matters to me. It sounds like this act was indicative if his true nature and typical behavior.

According to a respected Windsor musky guy who knows this donkey - he sells walleyes and illegally snares rabbits. This behavior is indicative of his true character. He is a liar.

Have fun.

Nobody is gonna give river reports online on ANY forum. Basic progression on all rivers is this: Salmon - late August if cool and rainy but September typically Trout - October to ice up is best There are always exceptions to these guidelines. If you want to know specifics on certain rivers then you need to do what everyone else does - hit the road, put on your waders and learn the timing, water, response to rain on a COUPLE of rivers. Don't jump around based on reports or rumours. And get a friend to help you or politely ask for advice on the river and WATCH the good anglers. This site is a great place. Stick around.

Ok Bill That's possible I guess. But I actuat think he doesn't know.
-
He said he's new. Not everyone is a pro angler like yourself Bill. That's a chinook Craigson. My advice to you would be to go to Bowmanville or wherever and learn how to fish the Rivera properly for salmon and then apply what you have learned to trout in October and November.

I have has a good summer fishing but I have gone half as often due to high winds. I fish St Clair for muskie and have been 8 times. 7 of 8 trips have been Good to excellent.

What's your favorite muskie top water bait
landry replied to bigcreekdad's topic in General Discussion
I have typically been too greedy to stick with topwaters and go back to my subsurface confidence baits quickly. However, I have landed to decent musky in two trips on a 10" black weagle WTD bait. Both fish hit the bait going straight up. It was awesome.
