  1. Two of them that I tried to eat a few years ago where full of worms. The two from this winter did not have any.
  2. They where real good eats for sure!
  3. Have you tried to tighten the rivets yet? I only use sealant on rivets that have been pounded flat, and can not be tightened anymore. At that point, it's either replace the rivet, or seal it. If your only option is to seal, then I would try 3M 4200 or 5200 marine adhesive. You can get it at Canadian tire in the marine section. The stuff that I used takes a good 3 days to cure. But once it's set up, it stays flexable, and doesn't leak a drop. As for the foam.. That's preference. I would like to have it for safety purposes. But my boat doesn't currently have any foam in it at all.
  4. I want to catch some really big pike. The plan is to fish G-bay as much as I can.
  5. That's not open water behind you is it?? Nice job icing those whities! Maybe next weekend I'll have a poke that them.
  6. I've been craving perch all year. My usual spot is still a little sketchy. Some good eats there.
  7. I'm just guessing, But I have my doubts that a new reel with fix your problem
  8. Welcome aboard man! Always good to introduce yourself with a little fish porn.. And one my favourites too. Pike porn
  9. Good job putting your buddy on the fish of a lifetime.!!
  10. That's great news man! Congrets. My first is due Sept 3rd! Seeing this post has got me excited. But 9.2lbs have got me a little scared for my wife
  11. I was thinking about fishing there this summer a little. Know that I live just down the road. I've heard there are a few good spots for pike in the area.
  12. I use a thermarest too, and have the same problems. I find a mickey of vodka helps me sleep. And another in the morning to get ride of the neck/shoulder pain. My wife has a bad back, so when she comes camping, we take one of the big double wide blow up matresses. They are a little bulky, but in all reality, they compress down just as small as my thermarest. Even with the little air pump, it's still the same size or smaller them my thermarest when packed up. And they are cheap!
  13. I'm interested to see some of the replies to this. Good post! As for loosing your whole season.. Your from Inissfill right? There lots of ice if you go an hour north! But I hear ya, I'm realling craving some Simcoe white fish
  14. That combo looks like it's ready to go fishin with Mercman! You should take it out Musky fishing this summer
  15. I've been on this board for a few years now. And that is the most well organized plea for a fishing partner I've ever seen! I don't fit your criteria.. But I'm sure you'l find someone willing to tag along for a few weekends. But if you're ever heading to Simcoe for a troll and need a partner. Fire me a PM! I might have a hole in my schedule.
  16. You gotta love the warm weather days eh! And you found to schools of fish to. Nothing to complain about!
  17. Thanks Kev! It took a lot of will power not to tell you about the good news a few weeks ago at the G2G. Seeing that play pen in your ice hut gave me some really good ideas!! Thanks Joey! I used lots of the pointers from the comments in your speck hunting post during that trip. It definitely helped me ice those specks
