  1. Right on Skip. That will be a good one to see when she's all polished up!
  2. Different colors for different lakes. I always start with fire tiger.
  3. Good to see you back Bruce. I was starting to worry!
  4. Litterally!! "recently two men were horribly mutilated and died when the same type of fish viciously attacked and bit off their testicles...: Is this a joke? That is crazy. This is totally ironic, because I had a dream last night that I lost my boys to TC.

    Garbage

We are a group of people who enjoy the nature, and being out-doors. We want it to remain clean and healthy. Not everyone out there has respect for the out doors. Not to mention the group of people who say "I pay taxes so someone can clean this stuff up, so I'm gunna toss my garbage wherever I dang well want" :wallbash: The worse thing is having to pass on the campsite with the best view, because your dog would end up with a paw full of smashed beer bottle glass.
  6. Use the search function. Lots of posts in the past about G-Pool.
  7. God stuff Rich. I haven't read one of your reports in a while. This one was the cat's pajamas! (excuse the pun..)
  8. Great fish man! Any pics of the homemade lure you caught it on?
  9. That's what I was thinkin.
  10. So from July 7 to 15 you don’t need a licence to fish in Ontario. I like to take at least one person out during the free fishing periods that Ontario offers. This weekend, I will be taking my in-laws out fishing on 6-Mile Lake. Going to visit the cottage, and hopefully make a nice day out of it. Then one day next week after work, I am going to take a co-worker out who has been asking me for a few years to take her fishing. Hitting Simcoe for some perch, or what ever else is bitting. I never end up catching many fish. Mostly guiding, putting worms on hooks, and hopefully removing fish for the newbs in the boat! Is anyone else taking advantage of this free fishing week? http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_165392.html
  11. I run a 14' aluminum with a 9.9 and a 36lb transom mount. There is no question that a bow mount with a foot control is more convenient. But the way my boat is set up, the transom mount works fantastic. I sit in the captains chair, can run the motor, fish finder and rod holder all looking in the same direction. Great slow trolling rig for walleye. The downsides of transom mount on a small boat... If you don't lift your main motor, and try to run the trolling motor, you end up with a serated prop really quick. And if you have the electric set to low in the water, the handle on the electric hits the main motor, and limits how much you can turn. A bit of a pain in the but at times. And definitally go stonger then 36lb.. It's not enough in strong wind.
  12. There's a decent amount of bass along that north shore. Also great perch fishing the right time of the year. I would suggest something that you can get down deep, and bounce bottom for bass. Blade bait, or a spoon.
  13. Good to hear from you Alex. I'm sure your old man will be smiling down on you. And I think the word Proud is an understatement.
  14. I'm no quilting expert. But I wouldn't think a quilt shop in Dryden would pay the bills. It sounds like you both have very interesting jobs right now Why not ride them out for a while, untill you can afford to retire? How long will it be? P.S. This is advice from a low risk guy.. I wouldn't want to try to start something new, and end up loosing my shirt. Then never be able to retire.
  15. One hell of a roller coaster man. Welcome aboard!
  16. That's a good idea. Then you can control the angle of the camera too. I guess the benifit of the GO-Pro one, is that you can send it way back away from the boat, near your lure.
  17. Cute kid!
  18. This is just me, but when ever I get a sliver stuck under my skin, i cut it out myself, then treat it with peroxide and polysporin. I hate the feeling of having something buried under my skin. It sounds like there's something stuck in there to me. If you don't like the sound of digging it out your self, then I would go get it checked.
  19. Congrets man!. What are you gunna spend the money on?
  20. The Krama police are out to get you. A crappy day indeed. But by the sounds of it, it was mostly preventable
  21. Wow, I had no idea. Here I am thinking he's an old fart..
  22. X2. I use the same line. I tie my own leaders using high quality swivel snaps, and metal crimps. Very cheap. I've have the same leader on my pike for for a full season (Likely 50+ Pike), and is still looks brand new.
  23. I know I speak for many people here Cudz when i say WELCOME BACK BROTHER!!!! Great report.
  24. Couple of tasty looking bass there Merc. Nice report!
