  1. I've fished with a bunch of OFNCers and met a whole bunch more. So far, I haven't met or fished with anyone I don't like. OFNCers are a different breed.
  2. I usually don't join the crowds, but if I really need something and it's a great deal............
  3. Well, at least you're thinking ahead.
  4. Me likes. Very cool.
  5. I don't make a big deal about presents, it's for the little ones now. I would be very satisfied with an ATV under the tree though.
  6. Hooked a couple of anchors and got one in the boat. Also hooked an underwater power cable while drift fishing on bottom.
  7. Nice to hear you're still around bud. Looking forward to those pics and reports.
  8. Terrific news for the OFC. Having to deal with law suits....not so terrific.
  9. Yeah, I did some Carols. Marys and Suzies and Floozies too, but the singing wasn't Christmas related.
  10. ....but rubbed his eyes and realized it was a dream. He heard the screaming and told Gerritt not to get his pantyhose in a knot and check on Pigeonfisher, but.....
  11. We'll be expecting pics of the catch. Go get 'em bud.
  12. Beauty fish. That second pic looks like a very well fed wally. Me some too ?
  13. ....and decided to call Roy for skin moisturizer tips, but he was busy waxing his beard.
  14. Thanks for the info. Sales on fishing gear are always popular around the OFC.
  15. Happy Holidays to all.
  16. Go try again. Just a little more to the left. Oh,..forget it. I'm thinking of someone else.
  17. Ice ? What ice ? Looks like it may be a late freeze up like last year. I don't care if it doesn't snow, but I hope we get a cold spell to make some good ice and cold nights to maintain it.
  18. SWEET RIDE !!! Yeah, I took little miss 4 Runner for ride. Had her on all fours most of the time. She's a good woman, look after her and she'll give ya what you need.
  19. I would have guessed he leaks a lot,... but what do I know.
  20. He be the OFC aluminum guru that Irish dude.
  21. Saw an aluminum boat recently that wasn't painted with a very small decal near the rear. Was well made by a company that got bought out by Stanley boats. Talking to the owner, I found out he paid quite a bit for the 16 foot tiller, but the cost was for quality, not paint and advertising.
  22. Ditto !!! Have both, but I prefer the side console.
  23. If you repair them if and when needed, they can last a lifetime. Just don't make a habit of running up onto rocks. The few times I had to beach a boat for any length of time, (camping) I would always rest the bow on a piece of wood and tie the bow line to a tree. Much easier on the aluminum than rock, sand or gravel. A night of high winds will do some nasty work if your boat is shifting back and forth on rock.
  24. Awesome ! Congrats on the beauty fish. I'm itching to go, but too many things going on this time of year. I'm still trying to find time to put some venison in the freezer.

    Winter?

I was there. The army troops complained about having to shovel snow. Said they could be warm and cozy back on the base with. Don't blame them. The City of Toronto snow clearing crews did the vast majority of the work. Working long shifts, even on their off days. Crews were working 24/7. The army pushed a few cars out of the snow and got credit for cleaning the entire city. Really ticked off the city workers, but not much could be done about it. "MAYOR MEL CALLS IN THE ARMY TO SAVE THE CITY !" sells more papers than: "CITY WORKERS GET THE JOB DONE !"
