  1. Glad to see you figured those walleye out. Amazing how many large ones there are around. Unfortunately, many will never make it to their spawning grounds, but that's something I don't want to stir up again. Nice shooting. Keep it up.
  2. Nice intro post. Welcome to our OFC family Master of Bait. Enjoy the ride.
  3. I don't mind spiders....as long as they do their thing someplace else. Black Widows in southern Ontario ??? I always thought they were found in warmer climates, but I guess they can hibernate over the winter. Nautifish, I can understand some people liking spiders, but venomous ones really scare me. Venomous anything scares me.
  4. Soap film from the floor mopping probably. Hope you have time to chill with another OFNCer or two Dan. Have a good trip.
  5. Excellent nauti. Always look forward to reading your posts. Those fish better be careful with you around. Keep the posts and pics coming.
  6. Awesome shots Ron. How the heck do you see those buggers in the trees ? They seem to blend in so well. Thats a heck of a lot of birds to spot in one outing.
  7. AMEN !!!
  8. Not sure of the winter hours. I've only been once. Smaller trout were in the first pond. The rear pond had larger trout, some 10lb. bows in there, but it's been quite a few years. If I remember correctly, there's been an ownership change recently. Let us know how you do. Good luck
  9. Let's not start that debate again.
  10. Hey, the southern folk are more than welcome to take on our northern swamps infested with fist size black flies and golf ball size skeeters. Alligators....hmmmm ? Hard to miss swatting a gator, but impossible to swat all the flying buggers.
  11. Good luck with the fishing tomorrow...er....today......um......whenever. DANG ! I have to get to bed. Crap, it's 4:30 am Kiddies will be up in a couple of hours. Post a report with some more pics Rich. tight lines
  12. Hey Bob, Just be thankful all this rain in the past couple of month's isn't snow or we'd be breaking other records (and our backs) rather than just record warm temps. Giving the lawn a trim is peanuts compared to the alternative. Ice may not be here for quite a while. Last year, we didn't get our hut on the lake. Good ice (for our hut) only the last couple of weeks of the season at Oro Station. I'm praying for record cold temps to offset the warm spell.....and the sooner, the better.
  13. Let us know how it turns out and a few pics would be nice. We likes da piks. May get my 2 oldest out this weekend if plans and time permit.
  14. How 'bout "The Dover Nautifish."
  15. So, ... we're talking insurgents, ghost of Sadam, seagulls diving at your bait or what ? I don't think there's anywhere around the Toronto shoreline that would be unsafe to fish. It's about as safe as wandering around the streets of ..... well ....TORONTO. The most dangerous thing is being aware of the goose droppings so you don't slip and fall. I'm sure nothing like Cleveland. The weather has allowed fishing opportunities which usually wouldn't happen this time of year. Those who put the effort in have been rewarded. SWEET !!!
  16. Doesn't look so bad a trip from where my tush is seated. Keep at it. One of these days you'll find a fish in the lake. Seriously, it's nice to see someone getting out fishing and even finding a few fish. That dead one doesn't look like it's been expired for very long. Probably choked on dinner or something.
  17. When are you ever going to post something about fishing. WOW !!! You matched my production totals for the last 2 decades in one year. Totally awesome.
  18. Yup, me too. I was really thinking about it, but operating the shop would take too much time away from fishing, so I retracted the bid I was almost going to make. Glad I have my priorities straightened out. Go fishing or work ? HMMMM !!!
  19. Excellent Mr.Hook. Glad to hear the fish co-operated for you. Congrats on the pb too. SWEET !!!
  20. OFAH
  21. If it was cut with a saw, it could be a neighbour who hunts and tossed the scraps in the bush.
  22. Anglers Paradise The Dover Soul or Sole Dover Shores Erie's Dover Shores The Waters Edge Just a few I could come up with quickly nauti. Rooms could be named after local fish. 1) Walleye 2) Perch 3) Bass Good luck with the name calling.
  23. Awesome shot. I love watching those large birds in action. Lots of bald eagles in the area I moose hunt. I could watch them all day.
  24. I love those pictures of the sun on the horizon. Thought from the title of the post you had trouble with pepe le pew. No worries about getting skunked. It happens to all of us. Thanks for sharing nauti.
  25. Catch a bunch bud. We'll be waiting for the report.
