If it’s convertible it will have a 5” section bolted in on the shaft. Just above cavitation plate. the jack plate idea is good but a 25 has some thrust. So jackplate or build up transom. It’s going to have to be strong. what hp is the boat rated for? (I’m thinking about how strong the transom is now).

That engine doesn’t have the 5” removable section in the shaft eh? I had an even rude that did.

Or. Make boat transom higher. place engine on boat. Mark holes for mounting engine on boat. Drill out holes. Buy two pieces of 1/4 stainless steel one for each side of transom that are high enough. Fill void with wood. Go fishing.

One thing I do is buy the biggest one. does the cold water come in a big size? I know they have a left hand model but the one my friend has is not big enough for 10 colour.

You could use a merc fitting on the tank and a evinrude fitting on the motor. OR change the fitting on the tank to evinrude

Well my bow is in the fridge.

Left at 3am. Back at midnight. Fished 3hrs in the morning the 3 before dark. Sat on shore middle of the day. Very sunny. ate ice cream instead of blowing a seal. owensound. 30over 65’. Nothing happening on the spoons. Changed to a Lyman and bam rainbow. Went deep. 65/125. Spoon. Look back rod is straight up. Yell fish and buddy is reeling like mad. It swam straight at the boat. Over the rail and in the pail. some bait 60’ to 80’ of water. Some big fish marked. At least 50 boats so a few fish getting caught. A guy caught 3 Lakers 80/125. It’s just starting out there.

That’s why I’m asking. I’ll take all the help I can get. I haven’t been for about ten years but I’m going. Fish are in there somewhere. If the salmon are too far out/deep then I’ll try rainbows. I have a few things to try. I’m not going to lake O I don’t like the drive/towing.

For Muskie I let the fish decide if a picture gets taken. Too tired and no pic. for out of season I don’t take a pic because it’s not what I’m targeting. I don’t take a lot of fish pics. I already know what they look like. good luck on your trip.

A cut from a rock is a lot different then a stress crack. A stress crack might just keep cracking. I never tried the rods so good luck.

At 20mph I hit a 3”dia 8’long log. Still green because it was chewed off by a beaver but waterlogged. it bent the prop and the prop shaft everything else was ok. Still went fishing that day.

Just saw a Boston whaler on tv with a roll out sun shade. It is mounted on the back of the T top on a C console. I never saw that before. What a great idea.
