Looks like a great trip. I wonder what they are eating to be bigger then normal. Is the number of fish Coming up the same. I miss the gb salmon open water.

I ran one electric and one manual. For me the manual was good to 60’ deep. Deeper and it got to be a lot of cranking. So manual for shallow fishing

If you heat it and bend it back you might be able to reinforce it on the inside with another pipe.

If you don’t know the history of a prop it might not be as stamped. I will not use an aluminum prop on an engine that gets a lot of use. show us a picture of the engine on the back of the boat.

No problem getting a tattoo. If you don’t like it you can get it removed. I’m not sure how they remove it though might be a belt sander. I saw one that was a giant pickerel across a guys back. If it was real it would have been a 25lber.

I see now that Somewhere on the keel, water is leaking and coming out the keel rib drain hole. ( The boat has three ribs with drain holes.)As if 40 leaking rivets ain’t bad enough. 10gph leaks total I guess. Come on give me a break I want to go fishing.

1975 Starcraft kingfisher. Poorly treated. Rammed rocks. I’ve trailered it about 60,000km over the years. mid season brake down blues.

I know there are different options. That’s why I’m really thinking. I bought a brand new motor and had a custom trailer made to my spec. I redid this boat about 15 years ago. Trailering has been hard on the boat. If I pull the floor out now I can’t fish anymore this year. But I want to redo the floor and change the layout a bit. I have more faith in new rivits then tightening the old ones. 40 seems like a bit of work though. I doubt a new boat would take the pounding. Don’t you fell safer when you can still see shore. (10 miles).

About 40 rivits and the keel has a crack. I guess about a couple gph. I’m still ok to use it because I have a 750gph pump. But I’m going to stay within 10miles of shore. For sale one gentle used boat pick up on the bottom of the lake. With that many rivits loose I’m worried the boat might brake in half on a wave. the hull has a lot of paint on it. so fill the keel crack with JB weld and paint the rivits again I guess. Any thoughts?

Went to st Clair. Broke the trolling motor. Then the mount for the fish finder snapped off on a huge wave. Didn’t sink the boat so i made out ok. But now I have to take it easy as I’m down to 1/2 roll of duct tape. I picked a spot about 8 miles out and i started to troll. Got a rip on a talonz slasher. Pulled it in and it has teeth marks. Kept going and got a nice musky. Floating and in the water column weeds made fishing tough Then Ruff water pushed me in. Went back out the next day and down sized the baits. Trolling a good looking spot a rod had straight drag. I fight a big one almost to the boat and the hook pulls out. Never saw it so I guess it was the world record. I had cleared the other rods. ( I stop the boat for any fish that’s not coming right in. ) So I put the bait back in and turn to the next rod and the clicker goes off. Fish on and no other rods out. Nice fight and a spot comes in. I see my net now has a cut in it Sharp teeth I guess. Trolled around for a while and saw a floater (35”) still alive. So I pulled the lures and held it upright for 10min and it swam away. I fished nearby and it didn’t come up again. Thinking the fishing luck should then be with me I trolled around in the boiling heat Until the water was flat and the heat pushed me in. Difficult fishing y

Where can I get a mannequin? I guess I could use my blowup doll but it might be a one fish bait.

the 34lb might be too much power. Better stick to 30lb. I guess if you can’t get a trolling motor I can tow you out with my boat. You can pay me in fish.
