  3. Beauty fish guys! One of these days I'm gonna give these musky a try.
  4. Had the pleasure of meeting up with one of ofc's finest a few times over the last two weeks for some lake Ontario action. I brought along my wife as I am trying to talk her into a much larger boat in the spring and her biggest fish was 3 lb bass, The thinking was she might get hooked on Trout and Salmon fishing like i now am. Plans were laid, we met early, winds were supposed to be ok. Boy was the weatherman ever wrong, it was not the nicest day to be out on the lake ( wife not overly amused with the 6ft rollers). We toughed it out fished skinny for a while the surface temps were around 50 so worked our way deeper. About 8 miles out the water was still frigid , the wind was starting to howl and the rollers were turning into whitecaps we had to call it a day. On a positive note the wife was a pretty good sport about it all , and we set a PB. on Pikeslayers boat that day for most water over the bow. He also insisted We come back out as soon as the water warmed back up for another kick at the can. The following weekend we met early again and hit the lake. Winds were ok but the previous few days east winds had some residual swells that kept us on our toes all day but it turned out to be a beauty day weather wise. we worked our way out to the blue zone and caught a cooler full of nice eater rainbows. It was a fantastic day. Angela and I would like to Thank Pikeslayer for donating his time, boat and gear for a great cause! here are a few pics from our outings I thought this was a cool shot of the CN tower poking through the clouds and most importantly Angela got to catch a bunch of these guys So after picking Pikeslayers brain for a few days and stealing all of Fisherpetes waypoints I decided it was time to see what I had learned. Me and a few buds blew off work early today and made the trek from Kitchener to catch the evening bite, Fished from 5:30 to 8:ish was all quiet thinking were about to get skunked when a few big boys in their fall color's came out to play ended up 3/5 in 30 min could have caught more but it was pitch black and I was a chicken. The pic does not do this fish justice , It was a beast. 20 plus and it was riot / gong show to fight and land them n the dark Neither one of these guys has caught a salmon in open water....the smiles say it all And the wife said yes to a new boat in the spring, and there just happens to be a beauty Crestliner Sabre 25' up the street that hasn't left a driveway in a few years.
  5. Had no idea those Chevs. We're such pigs on fuel . I have to drive my f150 like I stole it to use that much /100
  6. I have. 2011 super crew f150 4x4. 110k. No issues, by far has the biggest backseat of the big 3 . I average 13l/100. Mostly city. On a trip to Ottawa I can get it down to 11.
  7. I'm 9 min. Ant that includes a stop at tiimmies I'd have to get paid 200k a year to add on 2plus hours of driving every day. I'm in kitchener. And I work 12-8 so it's not a fair comparison .
  8. Took a month driving to bv with the fan. When I was 14. Great memories.
  9. When there n the feed there on the feed. When there not there not. When in doubt troll slower. Moonshine bad toad is always on when I'm out for lakers.

  15. Seems like forever ago I bid on a chance to go out on lake O. For a day of salmon fishing with Fisherpete. Probably because I have been looking forward to it since the day i won the auction. The day Started early for me i was out of bed and on the road for 3AM, We had made arrangement to meet in the east end for 5am. We met , and after a brief introductions we launched pete's sweet fishing machine and were headed out onto the lake guided by the supermoon Pete was as nervous as 16 year old on prom night to put me on fish but it did not take long the day started of with some little guys an a few shakers that released themseves, the action was fast and furious for an hour or so for us well away from the pack of other anglers. we even had a double header on for a while. The fishing slowed down a bit as the sun came up but the larger fish decided to come out and play. Pete working his magic on the riggers, although we would have done ok with one dipsy in particular, as most fish came on one rod . at this point my arms were tired as pete refused to touch a rod all morning and i demanded he reel one in. little did I know Pete had this particular fish trained to not put up any fight whatsoever and swim right into the net. The fishing shut down around 10:45 and we tried with no results for a while longer and decided to call it. Thanks Pete for having me! I loved Fighting these guys on the 80lb braid. what a difference from mono, I had an absolute riot. So much in fact i am about to list my snowmobile up on kijijji to hurry up the process of getting a bigger boat, and a chance to find a 30lb'er 3 more sleeps and i will be out with Pikeslayer for some more excitement.
