  1. It was a gong show couldent keep lines in the water. Like i said ive never been before only fished erie for bass but it was a riot. lines down at 1:30 and back to kitchener and fish cleaned before the sun set.
  2. My first time out on erie for eyes ever. Had my dad ( bit of a meat hunter lol) and my brother with me . we got em patterned pretty quick, a few went back , most went in the cooler. Bigest of the day was 27.5 and 8 lb not bad for 4 hours in the afternoon on a bluebird day
  3. Nice.. im making a move next year to spend more time with family and the outdoors cant wait!
  4. Thanks for all the kind words. least i can do is post some pics from all ive learned here over the years. Love that place and looking forward to next years trip already.
  5. spotlock on mine is a tackdriver. sorry not much help with yours. but yea if you hit spotlock while moving it will take ya back to where you hit it. do you have the seperate white puck compas dohicky on yours?
  6. head on a swivil at all times.. travel routes are planned out ahead of time via satelite images and plugged into gps. had our fair share of butt puckers only kissed bottom once. The new 115 fourstoke drank way less than i thught it would. Adams 2 stoke on the other hand..... all in all cheap entertainment. wasnt the plan to camp there we were planning on a spot mid lake more central to the areas we wanted to explore but when you get high wind warnings on that lake you go with the flow. we had 3-4 fters just getting to that site. aint that the truth..
  7. make complete sence... I spend hundreds of hours 358 days a year thinking about that place. Go chris!
  8. Been busy guys, havent posted in a while. My first child was born in feb so no ice fishing this year and only a few quick trips on lake o this year. But its that time of year again for my boys week up north. We added 2 new faces this year ( one was my dad which was amazing) and an extra boat. We had amazing weather minus the 40k winds on arival day that caused us to change our plan drasticly. amazing camping weather after that minus dodging a few thunderheads. Had to fish hard to get results and we did some looooooong runs this year and put well over 100 miles on the boats burning 340l of fuel. Pounded the brookies and lakers pretty good and got a few nice gators too. I will let the pics do the talkin from here. j
  9. fushimi has decent numbers of pike and walleye. i diddnt have much luck in size dept. its one of my favorite pp. i have visited
  10. oh yea. get on plane allot quicker. whats your rpms at wide open now?
  11. View Advert mercury spitfire/nemisis prop. was a little to ambitious with prop selection for my new boat. have a 17p x 13.5 4blade that wont turn enough rpms on my new 20fter. ended up buying a 15p same prop. if you have a 17-18 ft boat with a 90-125 hp or currntly run a 3 blade 17-19p prop this would be a killer. ill let you try it and if you dont like it bring it back. 190$ used once like new. 13. doing my buddies right now. not a pleasent job. Some fool but a longshaft motor on a short shaft transom. so were getting all the birds stoned at once and buddy will end up with a longshaft transom when were done.
  14. Well was nice to feel the sun on my face after a long winter. We managed 5 nice 17 inch walleye, once we got the hang of it. Cool place to fish. new ipilot got a nice workout for the first time and did admirably keeping us pionted in the right direction and the right speed. Autopilot works even when your moving backwards:) I bet you could lay a beating on them here if you knew what you were doing.
  15. so good. cant wait for my 50" pike im gonna get one done.
  16. ive fished for 30 years with no lifejacket. I became a father in febuary one of the first things I did was buy an auto inflate. I have a new rule its on before keys go in the ignition. I read way to many stories every year of seasoned fisherman just dissapearing and found days later with their fly undone to risk it anymore.
