  1. failing to mention crankbait types. thru the years we change up to vmc cone cut trebles, on walleye cranks. they are shorter shank round bends. on musky baits hooks depend upon lures themselves.. i normally hook and t over 10,000 hooks per year. my personal preference on muskys is longer shank thinner wire for excellent penetration.
  2. nice fish. definatly stressed. if the fight was 30 seconds how long was the photo-op.?. jons doing well for only a few years musky guiding.
  3. congrats on the new furry kid Joey. one question. As i am a musky fishermen does thet breed come with rattles or not. enjoy the many years of fun.
  4. Sadly its mis-interpeted. i live in windsor. this post will possibly get pulled. theres presently a run-amok police force here. . my say on the gun issue is the age old argument. control handguns not long guns that farmers, and sportsmen enjoy the use of. with the deadly force and cover-ups in the windsor area maybe just possibly the police chief should spend his time controlling the rampant rogues and beatings. read the windsor star. anothe good grim read a doctor beaten while jogging. hopefully those two rogues will be receiving a sentence just as criminals should. . as it is trained officers have always treated domestic calls ,that homes may have weapons,. .
  5. BACKBAY. speaks well with his thoughts. the other things in the protest have become huge issues. as a canadian do you not wonder how the resources have been sold for pennies. electricity, oilsands and gases, golds, diamonds. lumber. as this issue seems un-directed its very clear to see mal-content from folks. growing up in the vietnam protest era, this seems to be a loose beginning of people wanting an accountability from goverments and companys..
  6. theres many views. everyone has opinions. the great thing is we still live in a free country with free speech. many lost lives in wars.enjoy that speech folks. as for jobs and corporate greed. just look around theres both. sadly pay scales have slid since the new world order.. corporate north america is raping society. live long enuff and your views become educated, after living thru it.
  7. sawdust and coffee. what else does a man need

  8. happy birthday man. remember wood is good. STUD
  9. MOST proficient guides do not run baits ovver 10 inches. they do work but will limit your catch rates..in my limited experieces i prefer to run cranks in the 5-9 ich sizes. fall months theres times straight baits will out produce jointed baits also. as for rattles there for kids that like noisy toys.
  10. ROYthose look sweet. my limited experience says them babys will catch fish.
  11. BOBBY D. i personally know and recommend bobby. the fall fishing can be a reel great trip on st clair. bob has spent countless hours er should i say worn out boats and motors chasin fish.
  12. HI.lake st clair has a very fishable pike population. it is in the eastern end where theres marshland and creeks, waterflows that are not heavily fertilized. the muskies rule the open waters, until pike are larger. we catch many 10-14 lb pike in open waters trolling in summer months. luckily l.s.c. has it all.. eco-systems dictate what species will thrive. habitat,,forage base as brief examples.
  13. we take your word lew. reality is guys. a picture mighta caught lew smiling lol.
  14. beauty. goes to show what catch and release can do.
  15. With a great forage base musky can make a comeback. m.c.i. has raised money, and has taken a forefront stance on helping mother nature. hats off to them.. the detrimental issues in this eco-system is pollution and habitat for all species. With this being adressed it can be a win-win for all species fishermen.
  16. simply awesome lew. most cant see the forest for the tree,s..
  17. please dont let any sparks near the floormats.
  18. we prefer not to shop big box. we do support smaller family run business. as for wal-mart panhandling. that is totally wrong. its a scam. sam would roll in his grave.
  19. Ron and friends. thank you for standing tall. even though i am in southern ont. your actions have shown. fishermen and women have rights. you folks proved that.
  20. Mike thats very sad deal. as a friend to your family ,theres something that should be said. we here are extremly proud how you and your wife have stood up alongside the battle. we are quite positive your folks are proud to have you and danna.. for the people that dont personally know mike p. ,he,s a true family man. our thoughts and prayers are being sent.
  21. Sadly, a bad deal for ontarians. Lodge owners and outfitters are creating a vacuum for folks that enjoy the wild north.t his policy has a bad smell. goverments allowed foresty cutting that opened areas up. outfitters should be screaming at that issue, not sportsmen. the mnr has been dictated to from select politics. closures remind me of the european process. closed lands and pay as you go. this offers the demise of crown land usage for canadians., another look his how the u.s. goverment has the bureau of land managment . blm lands are another sad affair. land owners charge a fee to acsess these lands. obviosly the ontario goverment is once again whoring our resources. will these areas still be fish stocked for the select groups?. foresight is NOT a strong point in our goverments .
  22. birds plain suck. everyone i know has dumped them decades ago. lowrance has been the best results for guys in southern ont.
  23. Its, excellent you take the efforts to show the youn ones muskies. glad to see your bait selections workin.. handlebarz, and the old standby. special perch.
  24. THANK YOU . this event is a true showing of community involvment. From sponsors to feet on the ground this is a fun event. watching 200 plus kids fishing parents involvment will ensure our future fisherys. thanks to the mnr officers, opp and the belle river council itself. the muskies canada BELLE RIVER CHAPT. this shows these musky fishing folks have inserted their efforts and monies to the future of sportsfishing. WELL DONE.
