  1. wow and more wow.
  2. Living in the l.s.clair region we dealt with that issue. sadly the goverment knew this years back. sticking their head in the sand wont make it go away though.as vhs is in l. erie and its commercially harvested,, thats when the real furor will begin.like i stated before imports suck.
  3. lure lips that are metal are normally much costlier. as time went on plastics and lexan is the norm.. theres a huge difference between plastic and lexan for lure lips. as for the storm lures hoten-tot and wiggle warts. the actual plastic the lures were built with created changes.. re-cycled plastics does not carry the rattle effects as virgin plastics.
  4. Its been known just not announced about vhs. l.erie walleyes worth billions in commercial industrys were tested positive years ago. as for goverment containment. good luck its not going to happen. .vhs can lay dormant for years, then a kill can happen. lsc, has seen this happen in a large way. Over 30.000 muskies died in one swoop of this disease.
  5. Sadly, vhs will make its appearence in most waters. We rant and rave, but the true lawbreakers are. goverment, shipping, . Invasive species we have are to many to type. Here where i live in southern ontario,we have watched, diseases and different species invade. just think. With global warming, inaction from goverments, whats to come.. if one looks for laws on the books from our own mnr,a kid could do better. in lsc you can use canadian minnows, but u.s. visitors cant use them if there purchased in michigan, even if there dipped from the same lake. we need folks that actually understand biology, not pencil pushers.
  6. TJ.. Sadly the vhs, among a whole pile of things will creep across canada. When we tried to deal with the goverment factions, they just dont listen. Policticians have short life cycles 4yr. they reallynever concern about our future. Unless there making money..From birds carrying disease to fish migrating,to ships ballast dumped. Sadly resources in canada seem to have lo values. to us guys its priceless.
  7. lew. thats amazing. as we have more life experiences we notice all of the good things. thanks for sharing.
  8. excellent. thats a memory trip for sure
  9. What our forefathers went thru was totally in-humane in ww1. then came ww2. sadly we seem to honour our countrys hero,s 1 day a year. enjoy your freedoms. they were paid for in blood.
  10. failing to mention crankbait types. thru the years we change up to vmc cone cut trebles, on walleye cranks. they are shorter shank round bends. on musky baits hooks depend upon lures themselves.. i normally hook and t over 10,000 hooks per year. my personal preference on muskys is longer shank thinner wire for excellent penetration.
  11. nice fish. definatly stressed. if the fight was 30 seconds how long was the photo-op.?. jons doing well for only a few years musky guiding.
  12. congrats on the new furry kid Joey. one question. As i am a musky fishermen does thet breed come with rattles or not. enjoy the many years of fun.
  13. Sadly its mis-interpeted. i live in windsor. this post will possibly get pulled. theres presently a run-amok police force here. . my say on the gun issue is the age old argument. control handguns not long guns that farmers, and sportsmen enjoy the use of. with the deadly force and cover-ups in the windsor area maybe just possibly the police chief should spend his time controlling the rampant rogues and beatings. read the windsor star. anothe good grim read a doctor beaten while jogging. hopefully those two rogues will be receiving a sentence just as criminals should. . as it is trained officers have always treated domestic calls ,that homes may have weapons,. .
  14. BACKBAY. speaks well with his thoughts. the other things in the protest have become huge issues. as a canadian do you not wonder how the resources have been sold for pennies. electricity, oilsands and gases, golds, diamonds. lumber. as this issue seems un-directed its very clear to see mal-content from folks. growing up in the vietnam protest era, this seems to be a loose beginning of people wanting an accountability from goverments and companys..
  15. theres many views. everyone has opinions. the great thing is we still live in a free country with free speech. many lost lives in wars.enjoy that speech folks. as for jobs and corporate greed. just look around theres both. sadly pay scales have slid since the new world order.. corporate north america is raping society. live long enuff and your views become educated, after living thru it.
  16. sawdust and coffee. what else does a man need

  17. happy birthday man. remember wood is good. STUD
  18. MOST proficient guides do not run baits ovver 10 inches. they do work but will limit your catch rates..in my limited experieces i prefer to run cranks in the 5-9 ich sizes. fall months theres times straight baits will out produce jointed baits also. as for rattles there for kids that like noisy toys.
  19. ROYthose look sweet. my limited experience says them babys will catch fish.
  20. BOBBY D. i personally know and recommend bobby. the fall fishing can be a reel great trip on st clair. bob has spent countless hours er should i say worn out boats and motors chasin fish.
  21. HI.lake st clair has a very fishable pike population. it is in the eastern end where theres marshland and creeks, waterflows that are not heavily fertilized. the muskies rule the open waters, until pike are larger. we catch many 10-14 lb pike in open waters trolling in summer months. luckily l.s.c. has it all.. eco-systems dictate what species will thrive. habitat,,forage base as brief examples.
  22. we take your word lew. reality is guys. a picture mighta caught lew smiling lol.
  23. beauty. goes to show what catch and release can do.
  24. With a great forage base musky can make a comeback. m.c.i. has raised money, and has taken a forefront stance on helping mother nature. hats off to them.. the detrimental issues in this eco-system is pollution and habitat for all species. With this being adressed it can be a win-win for all species fishermen.
