  1. sadly. the goverments have tweeked the industrys to become taxation agents. brokerage is apaperwork goldmine for the brokerage firms. unless i can not purchase the product in canada, and only then will i be held hostage. how is it you can take shipments from asia, not be gouged but get gouged from u.s. shippers.since 9-11 brokerage, shipping, and taxations have been forefronted.these procedures have been killing trade between north-americans..we try to ship thru the mail services it is slower but, cheeper.
  2. still dont cure what the problem was. anyhow with the fines, they could buy all affected toyo owners workboots. then they could have flintstone brakes.
  3. dang. those have more tinsel then my xmas tree. sweet work.
  4. neither store. chinese crap. i support independent stores for selection. they carry regional quality products.
  5. Sadly to say. We went from Wal-mart to unions. Frustration seems to be folks truly want a decent product, and decent wage and benefit packages. Why not truly adress the real issues. Global trade and our wants, aka goverment borrowing ,has placed north america to bow down to cheaper imports.Truthfully the organised labour haters, would jump at the chance for a decent wage and benefit package..it used to be 1 wage would suffice for families. ist. it OUR wants before our needs.
  6. Walmart as many box stores have the inherrent sadness. employees that can only tell you the price or sku nu. knowledge of products is non existent in these businesses. sadly minimum wages ,and untrained employees, brings this about.the definition of wal-mart is vacuum cleaner in many areas.
  7. My top pick would be the dodge ram. the power for pulling, incentives, and comfort is what comes to mind. One thing when choosing any product is .check gear ratios. that can be a major factor in fuel economy. if you need 4 wheel drive you will sacrifice some economy. if you dont need 4 wheel check out the posi-traction rear ends if you launch in iffy boat ramps. all 3 you picked . dodge ,chevy or ford are good vehicles.
  8. in the larger markets its force feeding consumers. in the tackle industry small independents create lures, only to be stolen from large corporate raiders. these corporations have the tools, monies to push out independents. . the largest dilema now is. Asia does not honor trademarks, patents as such. its the wild west dealing with offshore folks.
  9. every maker has faults. i will keep my jeep liberty.it starts and it does stop when i apply the brakes.
  10. this thread has gone to who supports the outdoors, whether hunt or fish. i can state ofah has sat at the tables here in southern ont. the results were very good. ofah helped and lobbied for fisherman, and were successful to have changes made. without a voice its exactly as this threads going, no direction. just moaning on a keyboard does not get results. as aron stated we need concerted efforts especialy in this economic enviroment.. support your local groups guys.
  11. Sadly these companys see profit margins not quality. asian marketeers do not honor trademarks, copyright laws of north america.. resurgence of oldies as new, is just a new flair of hype. my beef is buying a lure, and it can not be exposed to sunlight or it warps or swells. thats unfortunaly trying to produce lures at a cheaper manufacturing cost.. the plastic shad raps from china are sad. the wire bends simply. i will stay with the north amerian products whenever possible. asian imports do not have quality standards.the newer better is in my humble opinion just another way to forcefeed fishermen. the fish will let you know.
  12. HI not to be negative, Sportfishing is down near 50 per-cent, along with boating.. back in the 1980 period the federal goverment put forth grat money for municipaltys for breakwalls, ramps and marinas. they now sit well under capacity. lost revenue from vacant boatwells. the mnr stance is to attempt to maintain not enhance the fisheries. the age old argument of lost opportunitys , will fall upon deaf ears. goverments after being downloaded upon from ottawa are cash strapped. lost jobs, no growth equal maintaing whats there at best. if you want ramps, parking areas they need to be maintained. citys and townships have to earmark tax dollars for these projects.. i live in southern ontario and have witnessed countless closures of marinas and sports good stores. my only postive things i see that have a viable outcome is to lobby and maintain whats available now. sportsfishing is in damage control.
  13. over priced and overrated. enuff said from a musky troller
  14. i have to say this. its on my bucket list
  15. i see your frustration. the goverment teaches a course. how to be inept.
  16. 5 gallon buckets are priceless. they carry everything from our treasures to fish.
  17. 6 gallon buckets. gotta be inflation. they used to be 5 gallon pails. happy new year lol.
  18. i have an 08 liberty. its been to the dealer 1 time for a flat tire. no issues on warranty. fuel is average 17.9mpg in city 22.5 hiway. the 08 model is roomier then the 07 or 06. . its surefooted in 4 wheel.
  19. know some folks that looked out on the lake. saw a bull moose. they looked thru there scopes. as it was a bull, they had a cow tag. they were charged for scoping. no shots fired. mnr attitude. fight it if you dont agree. 1000 mile return drive to court. thats sadly entrapment. northwestern ont has a few co,s that dont want hunters up there.
  20. hiatal hernias can be medicall found from a scope or an upper gi test. unfortunatly the surgical cure only has a 50 per-cent sucess. medicine and DIET change you can turn the symptoms off. diet seems to be the largest factors due to all the crap society eats and actually calls food.
  21. 1999 i blew out l5. i was sent to 12 specialist. after gruelling epidurals, cortizone, flacet injections therapy i was deemed SCREWD nobody in ont wants to operate on patients with spinal stenossis.. sciatica has subsided but i have been left with bad nerve damage in my legs from this. i wish anyone well on this issue. living on pain managment sucks. what sucks worse is our health care managment. . how is it insurance companies can get specialist appointments and mri booked in 2 weeks when joe avrage waits a year to see a specialist and 6 months for a mri..

  23. when i started in a lumber yard 1.25 per hour.. gas was 20 cents a gallon. a new plymouth fury 2 was 35 hundred... no fast food, cellphones cable and we only had 4 channels in black and white. i listened to leafs cames on a crystal radio set. that was the days when mom was home raising us, and you never questioned dad. born in the early 50,s when folks knew the neighbor, . funny world we live in t-day
  24. great hunt and great memories. your son says it with his smiles. harvesting and enjoying the meat is another bonus.
  25. years back when i was chartering, we needed a station licence at 36 dollars yearly. the vhf course was free at the time. vhf in the right hands is a very valuable tool on big waters.. there are abuses ob st clair. one guy feels he has his as a chat line. i once asked him if he had 2 radios,,,so he could hear himself talk.
