  1. How many different combinations does that equal?
  2. I found one like that 30 years ago. My words to this day are "I love you more today than I did yesterday but less than I will tomorrow" (well I didn't write them but). She is a keeper, just remember that you need to be a keeper too!
  3. Seafoam is an excellent stabilizer!
  4. no, but you should be adding fuel stabilizer to it. The ethanol that is in gas today acts like gas line antifreeze, it absorbs water which shouldn't be in your gas anyway.
  5. And don't I know it! The people on this board aren't just my friends, they are family!
  6. LOL no Wayne your camera didn't get wet, in fact that is why I went down stairs this morning; to get the charger and stuff and make sure the battery was charged before I sent it. (and no, you don't get a discount because that was the reason I went down stairs LOL) although I am sure glad I did!
  7. They say you really know who your friends are when the crap hits the fan: OR You go down to the basement at 7:00 am and find out that your septic system had backed up and there is crap all over the floor, the bath tub is over flowing and the toilet and everything is covered in it. I called the young fellow that sometimes works for me and within 1/2 an hour he, his dad, and his dad's helper showed up. I was sicker than a dog with this flu from hell to the point I'd had to go to the hospital yesterday morning so I was not in very good shape. Well, those three guys dug up the septic tank, found out that the tank wasn't draining properly. We called in a friend that owns a pump truck (honey waggon) and a friend that is an excavator, the pump truck was here in 20 minutes and pumped the tank then the three fellows worked their butts off to clear the line from the house to the tank and then started working on the basement. By noon, the excavator friend showed up and they started digging up the drain line from the tank to the field bed. They found the problem, a disconnected header line, fixed that, checked everything over, installed a second line (or something) so that this could never happen again then came back inside and finished cleaning up the mess in the basement. They washed everything, sanitized it, Steam cleaned the carpets, and finally finished up at 4:30. When I went to try to pay them they just smiled and said "take us fishing some day this summer". I am so very blessed with some of the most wonderful people in my life. So many people on this board would be here to help me if I ever needed it, sometimes I am almost afraid to ask because they always go way and beyond. I may not have a lot of money but I feel like the richest man in the world! FRIENDS!
  8. First week of Jan.
  9. Fuel issue? Could be but I'm not so sure, the fact that it surges again kind of makes me wonder. If it just died down after a few minutes of running I would think OK engine is drawing more fuel than the fuel system can supply but since it pickes up again .... Could also be an ignition coil breaking down on one cylinder as it heats up. That would explain the drop to 50% power then a sudden surge as it cools and starts to fire that cylinder again. An intermittant problem like that is something a shop might have trouble figuring out.
  10. A jig = a sinker with a hook attached. Sure you can get fancy but that is all it boils down to!
  11. Very sorry to hear the news, our Andy is 14 now and starting to have similar problems, I fear it won't be long.
  12. Actually we did stay in one of their ice bunglows and it was quite comfortable. Gas fireplace TV/VCR. You would be better to check out their website. We did catch fish right in the bunglow but the guys they took out on the day trips were catching their limits in a couple of hours.
  13. So now you going to bet on slow women and run around with fast horses or run around with slow women and bet on fast horses Either way, I'm telling MB
  14. I have been to Anglers Haven. I was very impressed with the service and the accomodations. The fishing where the bungalow was located was OK but not super however, at no extra charge they offered to take us out to a day hut where the action was much better. I'd go with them again!!!
  15. Darn good topic! Over the last 10 years I have been building a huge collection of fishing gear, at last count 19 rod and reel combinations, so much tackle that I had to have 4 different tackle boxes (and needed more). The one thing I did add last year though was my HDS5 and I have to be honest with you I REALLY like it for several reasons. The GPS for navigatiing, the charts with contours, the detail, and the sensitivity. Last year I started off having a really hard time finding and catching walleye, I tried everything in my tackle boxes (and several suggestions from other people) with very limited success. Finally in frustration I went right back to basics; things I use to use 30 years ago and all of a sudden I started boating walleye again. (actual count, 186 walleye boated in the last half of the summer) This year I am going to reduce my rod collection to 6 rods (2 ice fishing, 1 long rod, 1 ultra lite, 1 sensitive and 1 with good back bone) I am going to reduce my tackle collection to 1 box and go back to mono on all my rods. Back to basics here I come
  16. To try to get you up here fishing Sturgeon Lake this summer and try to return some of your wonderful hospitality! I am also looking forward to our annual ice fishing trip, this year CPH and I are going to try to come down for a bit of an extended trip. I even have a 4 man portable LOL.
  17. Marrow bone? I'd be giving that dog a HUGE T-BONE. Spuddy the wonder dog! You should forward this story to Purenna, I think they have something on their site about dogs that have done things like that. Oh and congrats on the new addition to your family!
  18. Not to encourage anyone to take chances but I was out yesterday on Sturgeon Lake and there was easily 10" of ice on over the chanel
  19. Try this
  20. So much sad news at what should be a happy time of the year. God must have needed some very special people at his side, he has chosen the very best! My sincere condolences to you, and to your family! God Bless!
  21. I'll be 65 in 13 days, should I pay for a 1 year license? I think i'll just wait two weeks and save some money.
  22. I have worked on Kipours, any of the ones I ever worked on had a Honda engine in them. (or at least used Honda parts) Almost all of the repairs I had to do were fuel related, i.e. someone had left un stabilized fuel in them for extended periods of time then couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. I also owned one and as long as you used fuel stabilizer in it there was never any trouble with it. Personally, I found them to be an excellent generator. I would go with 3000 watts though.
  23. The dial indicator you need has an offset so that you can go through the plug hole and still measure the piston travel (or you can remove the head).
  24. Don't buy it if he won't let you start it first!
  25. Is it warm down there?
