  1. Saw a quote a little while ago that made me think a bit The less you care, the happier you'll be Haha, kind of like that
  2. You're basically right, I really don't care. While some are slightly better than others, slightly, there are all cut from basically the same cloth. Once they are in there, they do whatever they want anyway. The Liberals suck, the NDP suck, but it was also the PC that began the cuts against the MNR many years ago as well, which is what started this thread to begin with. Not much to choose from. I don't complain about politics, and only appeared on this thread to outline another option about dealing with your ballot if one chooses to vote. I don't talk politics, or religion for that matter in my home, because both are a colossal waste of time and breath. For the first time in my life, I am unlikely to vote, mainly because I've gotten to the point in my life where if it isn't family, fishing or camping, I couldn't care less about it.
  3. Voting or not, every person pays taxes and I believe has the right to complain because of that. Besides, once an election is over and the winner determined, majority or minority, when has it done any good to complain? It's like complaining about the weather, no one is listening.
  4. You can also spoil your ballot by marking an x beside every name, I know for a fact that spoiled ballots are counted and recorded as such.
  5. this one should be good and locked by the time I get home from work
  6. Could they get finger prints from the Tim Hortons cup
  7. Well when you think about it, a memorial sign would be a nice gesture for all the brother and sister turkeys of the ones that were killed in the accident, along with the mothers and fathers, who by the way, was delicious at Easter.
  8. Looks like you left your chisel out there
  9. Seriously, the woman should be shot
  10. Going on a fly-in with Mike Borger in September, I am going to win that Ontario Out of Doors contest
  11. Balsam, Sturgeon, Cameron, Mitchell and Canal are all open, so Dalrymple likely is as well
  12. I think we would all be surprised at the % of the population that is currently, or that has already spawned. Yes it is a late spring, but fish will spawn due to the running water and will also spawn under the ice in some cases.
  13. Post spawn largemouth bass
  14. Report on it http://read.thestar.com/?origref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.ca%2F#!/article/5351d03bec0691063e0004b9-man-dead-after-being-struck-by-vehicle-on-highway-401
  15. I hope they lose their car, everything. Well done.
  16. A watched pot never boils, in this case, a watched lake never melts
  17. Canadian Tire sell a seat bracket that screws on to the seat and allows a swivel to slide into it, making them removable for storage, cleaning etc. I tried to find a picture/link of them, but couldn't. I have them installed on my boat and they are great, very easy to install, easy to take off when needed and extremely durable. They are made of black ABS, the swivel on the bottom of the seat slides in and locks into the base. They weren't expensive either, I would highly recommend them.
  18. This post could have been entitled, Ice Out Report - Nothing to Report - Winter still in Full Swing
  19. They fish were not there on Thursday and on Friday they had let a couple of more logs out and the water was so high you couldn't see the bottom. I have never seen the water that high there in my life, it's up to the house on the right hand side, right to their block wall, deck.
  20. No chance, won't be even close. The new target should be Mothers Day weekend, no joke.
  21. I should be able to help here. Android is essentially the operating system the box has installed in it, like windows on a computer. Fully rooted i believe means that's it all set up, the best apps are already loaded on to it from the company when you buy it so you can just plug it in and use it. I believe unlocked is related to my last sentence above, I think. Download/upload is the speed at which you can download content from the web, according to the service you have. Like i said above we have 5Mbps (5000 Kbps) download speed and we can put stuff out on the Net at 800 Kbps. The faster the speed the faster you can receive content, images, movies. Thus my concern about live tv being choppy, starting and stopping when viewing it. Bandwidth is related to the above but also how much your package from your provider allows you to download per month before it starts to cost you extra for exceeding that limit. We pay a little extra per month to be able to download an unlimited amount of content. Bandwidth and live stream i basically covered 2 paragraphs above. Live streaming is yes, watching something as it's happening live, like HNIC on Saturday. I like the idea Gerritt had about using the Gbox to watch movies and older shows etc, as they won't be streamed live, then keeping a basic package from bell that will allow us to watch HD channels and live sporting events. It's probably the way we will go until our download speed improves out here in the country. Thanks to all for the info, great thread.
  22. I have been researching the internet, using the smart TV, to find streaming sites and see if I can view some hockey games on it. Wanna see if it's still choppy like it was before.
