  4. More people have to shave than get out fishing. Hence the interest. If I got out to fish as often as I shave I would post a lot more...LOL
  5. 20 per month and some bogus processing fee. Then some discussion with the CS reps about why you are cancelling. Just awful
  6. Merry Christmas Doug. May all your dreams come true. Cheers Nemo
  7. That is crazy.... no clothes....and no experience rowing....... in the winter.
  8. Just called Minden Bait and Tackle (705) 286-4826. The news was not good. They stated there was no ice yet that was safe. They also said the snow they got last week has put a damper on ice production as predicted. The estimate was a few weeks..... Hmmm
  9. Doe with a 18 point rack.

  13. http://www.butternutinn.com/cottage-rental.html Here's a place near you.... 65$ is a steal my friend. I would check out all the B and B's around you and compare what you offer and set your price from there. Also you will want to have a website, and also may want to speak with your insurance broker re: liability. Also with your local municipality re: any rules and regs. Just my 2 cents. Here's another http://www.scarlettunic.com/
  14. Chin up Simon. You've got a great attitude and lot's going for you. I went through it 2 years ago and it sure put me on my arse so to speak. I am still going through it to some extent. You'll learn who your true friends are. One thing I would recommend is take a couple of weeks off and think about what you really want to do and what is realistic. Please note your family is very important and is what will ultimately pull you through. I think you know that already. Also don't lose faith in yourself (you shouldn't it's not you its the economy) you need it now more than ever and so do those around you. If you want to talk PM me. P.S. You'd make a great guide/dock boy.
  15. Get her a Grandchild. There is something in that gift for the whole family. j/k Only issue with spa stuff is if they don't use them (spas or the certificate) it's a waste. Do your homework and find out what she really likes. My 2 cents.
  16. Those blew me away. They are fantastic. Kudos to your wife.

  19. I have to reread this book. I read it in grade 6 and the part that sticks with me is drinking the fish blood for breakfast. If you like Hemingway and fishing there is a great book called "Hemingway on Fishing". It is great read with all of Hemimgway's writing on fishing. Hemingway lived in Toronto in 1920 and worked as a correspondent and freelancer for the Toronto Star Weekly where he contributed many pieces on fishing including the Soo. This book would also make a great gift for your favourite fisherman. You can get it at Chapters for $25. From the Publisher Hemingway on Fishing is a full and diverse collection of some of the greatest writing by Nobel Peace Prize winner Ernest Hemingway on one of his favorite subjects-angling. Included in this gift edition are excerpts from A Moveable Feast, The Sun Also Rises, Green Hills of Africa, The Garden of Eden, Islands in the Stream and The Old Man and articles from the Toronto Star Daily, Esquire and Vogue. · Hemingway on Fishing is a collection of the greatest literary works on the sport from one of the greatest writers of all time. · An ideal book for collectors · Includes a 32-page black and white insert
