  1. I was up at Kashag this weekend and it is still pretty full of ice. The north side of the lake is clear for 100 feet from shore. Over night this would freeze over again. Noticed that the ice was out of most lakes on the way up until you got to around Coboconk. The cool weather is definitely slowing the melt.
  2. G'day Fudd. Spent some time in OZ and loved it. Glad you're on board. Hope to see some reports. Cheers Nemo

  9. Typo in Rowbotham article, second sentence. I think the word should be "poised" not "posed". But what do I know. Nemo

  15. Tuna depletion in the Mediteranean. Lot's of info on the web. Interesting story.
  16. Have the same ffinder and almost same solution as SoloP. Took two stir sticks for paint. Bolted one to the transducer after removing the suction cup and used duct tape to tape the wire to the top part of the stick. Then just slide the other stir stick between the wire and the vertical stick and just below the duct tape. Stick in the hole and your good to go. When you're done just pull the horizontal stick out and that's it. Took less than 2 minutes to set up.
  17. Hi Bernie, great photos. Interesting thing is that the boat in your avatar and the boats in the first picture are almost identical. Some things change and some don't. I guess if it ain't broke dont fix it. Testament to an enduring design and a lasting product. Put up some more when you have a moment. Much appreciated.

Assuming there would be squat in Chapleau, we wuz wondering if anyone has any insight on the Peeler action in Sudbury. 20. Those have been around awhile. Good shots but I am not sure they are from Canada. Magpie is a giveaway. Here they are from last year. http://mainehuntingtoday.com/bbb/2008/03/2...o-moose-photos/ from BC http://arizonahuntingtoday.com/desertrat/2...te-moose-in-bc/
  21. Bought one for 15 bucks at Minden bait and tackle. Was able to drill some holes for my 8 year old and I to fish out of as we did not want to buy an auger. Cut through 7 - 10 inches of clear ice in 3-4 minutes. As aothers say useful tool for opening and checking ice. IMHO opinion 100 bucks is too much. You could buy a manual auger and a spud for that. Look at teh hardware stores. Up north I saw them for 20 - 30 dollars. Make sure you wear the strap round your wrist....
  22. Nice video thanks for sharing. I like his ATV. TJ I guess you are in charge of the packaging supplies...LOL
