And today I get the worst call imaginable. He passed away this morning. Markus... dear friend ... I can't believe you are gone.
I took this picture of Markus with Jim Mcckenny last night at the Habs game ... just after we shared dinner at our favourite 'Library' at the Royal York...
And here is the picture Markus took of me and Jim ....
WE HAD SO MANY PLANS !!!!
Thats Awesome !!!... I just love those David Attenborough films - got the whole "planet earth" series last year... dont think I have ever seen that one before though.
How to please your woman ... be sensative, bring her stuff, listen to her, talk to her, get all clean and shaven and stuff, talk sweet to her, watch chick flicks ... blah blah blah ...
How to please your man .... show up Naked .. bring beer
I just cooked up a huge batch of bacon that was more than 2 years past its best before date .. it was Sweeeeeeeet .... I have a friend who used to be in the international meat trade bus .... you'd be SHOCKED to know how old some of that stuff is before it hits your plate
I love my Lowrance H2Oc .. but I am not sure if you can get them on the retail market any more... I put a 1 gig chip and loaded up the Maps from the Topo maps (all of Ontario and most of quebec) - excellent unit .. batteries last all day (I always carry a few spares just in case) and seems to get pretty good coverage even in some pretty way-out terrain.
Yes .. Happy belated
I actually got Squidman.com reserved a number of years back ... thats what people who confused Calamari with my last name used to call me
Wow .. thats scary ... especially for us 'med-rare' folks ... oh well ... now I guess you just gotta go for the MEGA Steaks ... with the fat still on and cut em up yourself
And how come they specifically tell you to put a little tinfoil on the ends of your drumstucks if you are (not that I ever would anyway) cooking trukey in a microwave.
Also ... my microwave cam with a rack (like the one in your oven) ... agian we never use it .. but it is definitely made of stainless steel (or nickel plated)
Ok,
Under the topic of it is better to learn from other peoples mistakes ... I offer up the first in what I expect to be a long list of things NOT to cook in the microwave ...
1. Tuna Melts ... (tuna, cheese, celery on half english muffin) today I tried to re-heat one (1 minute) - result : small nuclear explosion ... tuna ALL over the inside of the microwave .. why ??? ... not sure really ... but it could have been the cheese acting as a steam block .. not willing to try again to watch and see
Please add your own (keep it tasteful)

Looks good as far as the regs go .. can't comment on ice safety though.
Not sure if these guys are still selling bait ... but worth a phone call.

Yep .. I was thinking exactly that .. one (tiller) for fishin alone in smaller waters... and one big plush-wagon side console with completely closeable stand-up top to keep out the nasty weather when needed ... (of course a bimini top for the sunny hot days)
