Until Michael is replaced as leader he will always be behind NDP. He scares many in my friends and my family's. I don't debate but the Liberals deserve a leader, find one!

Hello again OFC, well last week I put up some pictures of my broken portable fish finder and I was very very happy when I received a PM from GBW. Long story short he gave me his old Humminbird Piranah 4 fish finder to have for no cost. The original mount was broken and he decided to let me have it or the transducer. Yesterday Gonefishin his gf and I went out to a little shore spot out on Lake Scugog in search of Crappie but caught only sunfish. On the way home after lot's of being "lost" haha we found our new buddy Geoff and had a nice meet and greet we did. I just wanted to give a big thank you to Geoff for being so kind, as other posts before said, OFC is truly a amazing resource and every now and then things like this happen to many of us and it just feels great. I made a makeshift mount and transducer mount for my new depth finder(with temp incl.) Here are a few pictures, 100% home made and free. I used a hollow pipe, drilled bolt holes, attached these brackets I hammered out to make the angles right. As you can see the top will sit on my boat and I will bolt it through, might need to add a little bit of wood spacer but it's minor. The fish finder is sitting on another piece of bent steel I bolted into place and it tighten/adjusted up and down with the turn of the knob on the back. The base is a piece of scrap with two small rectangular blocks under it. Was fun to do and now I'm back in business. Really looking forward to my annual trip this summer! Can't wait. Thanks again Geoff, looking forward to some fishing this fall with yourself Tightlines, MTBF

Unless you plan on making everybody hate you there is no reason to delete a account...If you want to leave then do so...your not going to get calls or spam and well you know your going to go back to the web page...After all the internet isn't disappearing in any of our lifetimes. Another wasted chunk in the OFC vault...I wanted to at least see a picture of a fish -
Great report! Way too much success haha Thanks for Sharing!

Thought I would put the report up, it's not much. I only caught one spawned out Rainbow Trout, a nice size fight and lot's of fun I had. I got out with Gone Fishin on opener nice and early in the rain and visited the creek again twice since then to try again but only caught 2 baby trout. I'm not buying any more hooks, pink worms, or floats so It's game over for the Spring. Enjoy the pictures, had fun learning how to float fish with a 11' rod. The stradic fi got a good test drive on the river, couldn't be happier in it's performance! Pictures Fish Number 1 Fish number 2 and my last of the spring...number 3 Thanks for looking, MTBF

Quick Dual Battery Wiring Question
MCTFisher9120 replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
I won't charge them together, not sure about gas motors and alternators in them but I'm finding a used one ranging from a 6hp-15hp 2 stroke. Maybe next year I'll get a little on board charger and will learn more on the in boat charging but for now I'll do them separately. The 2008 Battery says 650 Marine Cranking Amps/130min reserve capacity The 2010 Battery(same make and model) says 625 Marine Cranking Amps/125min reserve capacity. Not sure why they are different, both are the same size, the older one has a material strap while the new battery has a hard plastic handle. And fishnsled I like the look of that wire, I'll investigate them soon! MTBF -
Quick Dual Battery Wiring Question

Thanks Dan, that was my assumption, I'll have a look at cdn tire. -
Hey, so hooking up 2 deep cycle batteries to my Minn Kota trandsom mount. I had 2 in the boat last year and just hooked it up to one then the other once the other was dead. Is this how to do it? What kind of wire should I use to hook them up to the terminals and what battery does the trolling motor clips go to if it matters? Thanks guys...getting everything prepared and ready for summer, can't wait! MTBF If it matter's it's a 12v 30lb. 2 seems like alot for a 12' boat but it works for me

Hey guys, well summer is fast approaching and although I can't touch a bass until August because of my work this summer I can't wait to get bass fishing. One of the techniques I'm adding to my skill list is fishing the standby for many people....Big worms! I'm talking 10" Berkley Powerworms and the 10" Strike King Rage Thumper worm. A recommendation from JP was to use either a 7/0 or 11/0 Owner wide gap hook...Me I'm different so I bought 8/0 Lazer Tro Kar wide gap hooks for the terminal side and will fish them with straight 17lb Fluorocarbon for the season. Sliding 3/8oz, 1/2oz, & 3/4oz Tungsten weight was also suggested and what I will use to get the worm down ranging from 9ft-18ft of water on the fast drop off I have marked out and fished on my lake. There are big fish there and they love to move to the shallow bank during the evenings. My two biggest last year, a 5lb and a 5lb 8oz from last season were both over 22" in length and both were caught on the same straight bank...perfect place parking myself out deep and fishing from the weed edge across the flat into the deeper stuff. What rod length's and actions do you prefer to fish worms with this technique and how do you fish them if you don't mind going into detail on what you learned, tips to share on the technique. I have again a long time to fish this year(Every day of August I'll be camping where I was last year ) So I have lot's of time to play around and learn how to do it. Hope to get some good feedback! Kistler with a "build your own" rod
MCTFisher9120 replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
I did a few bass rods in the 405-460 range...lot's of options but I don't get how having recoil guides adds $100 to the price vs the others. To the custom guys that build rods how expensive are the different guides on the market today?
