  1. Thanks for the prop's guys. The life jacket I thought was buttoned up all day, the excitement made it open up haha...Na we play it safe while out there
  2. Also, forgot to add the fish was from a hatchery, had the adipose clipped on it.
  3. Hey Guys, well my buddy Gone Fishin caught the bug and decided to put his boat and motor together last night so we could get out today for some fishing on Lake Ontario...It was awesome, we bundled up and had little trouble launching out boat, lot's of ice but we had maybe 6 feet on either side of the boat from shore to ice. Once out of the bay we got out on Lake Ontario and slow trolled Rapala hard baits behind the boat, both stickbaits and jointed ones. Didn't take long on the right stretch before I got the first and only fish for out outing but was well worth it. Here is my first brown and not my last, going to be doing this lot's more haha, was soo much fun. Only had my frog rod but did it ever put it to work Here's my PB and wicked fish Till next weekend's report comes MTBF
  4. I'll look into the Olympus camera's you mentioned above...Assuming they are in price range.
  5. Hey everybody, hope everybody is doing well and has got out fishing! I am now in the marker for a new camera. Now the camera I have it great but I like to fish and am always in the elements and need something that wont freeze up on me and will be very water resistant/proof. The Fuji FinePix camera seems to have my attention and is in my price range...not spending more than 300...the one for 180 is a good price. Anyway just wanted to know a good place to start looking at them. Did a quick Future Shop search and it came up with one that was pink...Not to keen on color but I'm not using a pink camera haha. Some reviews on the Fuji waterproof cameras would be good but I'm willing to try anything, so please if it's in my budget I'll consider anything as long as it's waterproof and will hold up to the cold...Had my Kodak camera freeze up a few times and pictures would come out like foggy...really weird. Hope to get some advice and help, MTBF
  6. Nice job!
  7. Hey man awesome pics, I too like seeing old tackle. Perhaps we can turn this thread into a "show and tell" of old tackle and rods/reels. This lure was my Papa's moms and she passed it down to him...she passed away a number of years ago but I now have the possession of this cool piece of history. I took a quick look and didn't see a date on the package. Any guess as to the approx year? I got the old rapala in it's original case with the price tag on it...love that thing...here are too many pics of it Hope to see some more, out of curiosity what value do these old mint condition baits have? Keep em coming, MTBF
  8. Ok so here is the deal, the Wet Skins yellow 2 piece rainsuit from Canadian Tire is awesome. I had it bought for 3 summers ago and it has held up great, even after being washed and hung up to dry a dozen or more times it still is in perfect condition. I brought it out onto the ice this winter and dressed with a sweater and some shirts under it and again it was warm. I took 1 cut to the knee area on my last trip out...why because i was sliding on the ice...not very smart but for $150 I got one hell of a good suit.. Pic from winter 2011 Pic from Summer 2010 Pic from Summer 2009 And I know I got a pic somewhere from the fall of 2008. All I know is if this suit comes in a green color I'll get it in another 2 or 3 years...Assuming my suit fails me. Good luck with your find, MTBF
  9. I didn't know that but my point here is we do not know what it would be like to be in there shoes right now, we have never had a disaster that compares to there situation...Not going to argue it's a waste of time. Let's just hope for the best and see our government put some money to them. MTBF
  10. text Asia to 30333, it automatically will donate $5 to the red cross. I read this off of City News last night a few times. It's not much but hey at least "technology" makes it easy to help. A true devastation and something we will never be able to know what it feels like. Never.
  11. love there looks and design...too bad it's a abu
  12. Big fish dude, congrads!
  13. Non profit doesn't mean they don't take the money to pay for things...like the event. You can not simple put a excuse on it to spend the $20 for the show and as other's said 10 or 15 for parking on top of that. Gouging the price because they have people attend so they know they will pay. I suspect a drop in attendance this year and a price drop next year. I guarantee.
  14. $4 to watch a movie in Lindsay At least for us broke students
  15. Another year of not going for me, the $14 or whatever is too much for the show i was at a few weeks back. $10 for adults and ill go, 20?? Ya right It was $10 just for my slice of pizza and pop on top of that. I'll spend that $$ on lures at BPS during the classic.
  16. Bomber Lures - How & When To Fish Crankbaits DVD showed lot's on Crankbaits. $10 brom CDN Tire in Lindsay. The segment by The King Jimmy Houston was on lipless cranks, awesome info. MTBF
  17. Incredible catch, nice feed of perch too! Thanks for sharing the report, MTBF
  18. The Ford F150 today and Ford Superduty have all the numbers, test's, and offer the best out of the gate. Looking forward to driving my older F150 this year...Years down the line I'll look at no other place...only ford vehicles in our family, a 2005 van and a 2011 focus...go Ford! This video always makes me laugh at the competition......After watching every video(1 through 6) of the "torture tests it blows my mind how good they are lol...gonna go over to the dealer just so i can sit in 1
  19. Just wanted to ask if anybody has heard of any progress or failure to stop the invasion of Asian Carp. Was a hot topic weeks back but just wanted to bring it up again. Link Posted before-7 min video with some fact's and feedback http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5796372 Thanks, MTBF
  20. Cliff gave me a good deal on my portable fish finder the fall before last, I was new to the area and after a few PM's he came to my house and dropped it off, even threw in a pack of brand new batteries. Also dealing with another few members selling my rods and reels I thought I offered good deals back and well it pays off in the end, a bunch of really great guys here that deserve a A great community indeed.
  21. Nothing funny, watching soo many of the american shows I've seen lot's of longer stuffer rods with heavy fluoro lines...seems they are always fishing them in the spring and do lot's of ripping in and out of the weeds...Not so much up here but thanks for the suggestion, guess I won't need another rod for those too some day thankfully
  22. Here's a newsflash - it isn't the bait, it's what you do with it.`` Bang on.
  23. I would get the same....correct brand, size, and well got to love the black. Nice Truck, wanna donate ur old one
