Kistler with a "build your own" rod
MCTFisher9120 replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
Really eh, too bad to hear about that. They must be awesome rods regardless if Gary Loomis has worked on them...Not for me but maybe somebody out there on OFC Edit* I made a rod and at the end the price was 4 something...then a box popped up with a $140 discount...hmm lol -
I bought a spool of Spider Thread 50lb and I am not happy with it. I used it trolling in the cold a month or so ago when I caught a brown out on Lake O. I think I was out 1 or 2 other times and the line has lost half of it's color...already. Not impressed, will be putting power pro or possibly Suffix back on this summer.

Hey guys, was watching the Scott Martin Challenge last night and he mentioned a thing about Kistler Rods, there Z Bone rods now can be completely designed by you. Right from the action, power, reel seat, fore grip, hook keeper, what guides you want and it goes on right to spiral wrapping and putting your name on the thing. There not cheap but it's fun to do. Check it out, http://www.kistlerrods.com/fishing-rod/ MTBF

Where can I read stories like this, is there a link to a MNR page that displays the latest stories? Edit* Found it, take a look through this, really interestering and sad to see so many dummies out there. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/Enforcement/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_164545.html

Good to hear the story Cliff, the "community watch" it important...A CO I spoke to this summer said lot's of the time they start there day going through the call in's from the MNR tips...basically checking out the locations where bad fishing has happened...the more complaints and people that see the wrongs happening make the call....they do help.

Nice job, we got into just 1 this morning but the "talk" was that more were caught. Thanks for sharing, banner day for sure. MTBF

Just wanted to show some cool stuff off that I won in a Extreme Angler tv contest through the Facebook fan group. Some Rage tail goodies and a awesome jersey, not my sponsors or anything so I don't see myself wearing it much other than some friendly competition while out on the water.

More great stuff merc and bigcatch. What model is that Cumara, sure is a nice rod. How to the St Croix's feel?
-
Nice lures and spinnerbaits man

I'll post some up tonight. I also won a Rage Tail prize pack from a Facebook contest through Extreme Angler TV. Haven't seen the package but I got a bunck of new plastics and a jersey...Pic's to come tonight. I'll add them to the "tackle thread"

I just organize by lure type. If you got some Plano tackle boxes then label 1 or 2 as Crankbaits, put those in there....then another 1 with Jerkbaits, then get yourself a square cube shaped spinnerbait box. There handy for all your spinnerbaits, get a second for spoons and stuff. All plastics belong in a worm binder...all that extra weight of tackle trays is silly. I can get sometimes 30 bags of plastics in 1 worm binder...2 or 3 and you can hold a lot of stuff. Good luck with the tackle organize

I would do this. 5 rods here 7'H Baitcast- Frog's,Pitching 1/2oz jigs for bass 7'MH F/XF Baitcast- Spinnerbaits for bass, light pitched plastics, big topwaters like spooks, troll walleye hardbaits with this rod too. 7'MH or M with Mod. Action Baitcast-crankbait fishing for both bass and walleye. The nice flex in a Moderate action rod will be good for topwaters also. 7'MH Spinning Rod- fishing tube jigs or with lite line drop shot 6'6-7'M Spinning Rod-jigging for walleye or use it for skipping wacky rig senkos or use it for shakey heads Something like that would be a good start if you like to fish these ways.

Good points Cliff, really puts things into view. We are now considering selling our 4.2L Ford van for something msaller and cheaper on fuel...unless the price comes down within the next few months...very well doubt it.
