  1. Man that does stink. Hope you can get a lot of your stuff outta there in good shape. Dang glad nobody was around when she came crashing down.
  2. Mmmmmm ..... pics. Looks like you got the picture posting down pat. Post away .... post away.
  3. Nice looking meal you got there .... tasty huh ? Sounds like a great day.
  4. Well that's just great .. another two weeks. Looking forward to getting mine.
  5. It's nice not to not go to work in the dark and then get home in the dark ... that stinks. Looking forward to the evening daylight now. Temps warming up. Groundhog says spring will come early. BRING IT ON.
  6. Great report Clampet. So today you were using the 'tarpis leftonsledus'. Rest that arm buddy, you're sure to need it again one of these days.
  7. Hey that's great and I'll bet the kids loved it. I'll have to give mom a call and see if she'll pull me out of work some day and let me go fishing.
  8. I'll have to round up a few for scans. I'll tell ya ... this is the best thread I've read through in a long time. Sure is great ot honor our parents and grand-parents like this.
  9. I think it is because we take so many angles just trying to catch a fish ... thus angle + r
  10. I do so solemly swear NOT to spit my drink all over my keyboard. Woops, we're not talking about that ... sorry. I will take that pledge and already live by it.
  11. I too would love to spend time in the boat with my Grand-father. He passed away about 10 years ago at the ripe young age of 92. He spent a lot of time in Ontario fishing year after year. I'd hear the stories of their adventures just pitching a tent somewhere, bathing in bone chilling water. Back when roughing it .. truely was roughing it. I've seen some of the old photos and those guys know how to catch fish. The other ... any one who can teach me some pointers on musky and walley fishing. Who knows, maybe that can happen at our Lakair GTG.
  12. Go get 'em buck. Remember to take your Camera. The knipex I have are very similar to Lew's , but ain't got no spring. I also tied a long string to mine and tie off the other end to the boat. Sure would hate to see a slip of the hand and have them sink to the bottom. Too many $$$ for that to happen.
  13. Hey Pete. Some of us have a very nasty case of 'Cabin Fever'. Looking forward to soft-water.
  14. I had a few two piece spinning rods, but I found that I had to push them back together here and there during the day. Could be that they were just cheap-o rods to begin with. Now, I only use the 1-piece rods, none of which are anywhere near the length of your float rod. With the long rods, I store them in the boat while traveling. Should I need to stay over-night, I bring them into the motel room. So far, I really enjoy the 1 piece and doubt I go back to the 2 piece.
  15. Ya have to sonder what the mods do in there spare time. That is, the time they have away from keeping all the kids playing nice. Yeah - the mods to a great job. I've pretty much knocked the other fishing boards from my favorites and just live here.
  16. I also was surprised when I let the dogs out a little while ago. Nice warm-up over night. Maybe some of the hard-packed snow and ice will melt off our streets.
  17. Welcome aboard. Lookin' forward to the reports.
  18. Holy Geez ! I would hope this person would fess up to he/she has done and come forward about it. Dang, stupid cowards. Why does it seem like it's always the innocent and careful ones that end up being being the victims. I do hope your daughter recovers quickly.
  19. We'll be seein' reports from the little fishergirl in no time. Watch out - she's hooked for life now !
  20. Some hoT lookin' baits there John. Nice selection with various sizes and weights. I'm sure we'll be seeing some nice pics on what these babies will land.
  21. That is way too cool.
  22. Yum Yum ... how'd they taste ? Looks like a great day. That perch may be pushing 14 1/4. Huge !
  23. You sure do bring a photo to life with your paintings. Simply amazing.
  24. Definitely time to start gettin' ready. June - My first Lakair GTG, arriving late afternoon on Tuesday. Have to see what we'll be fishin for those days. July - Week of bass on the Rideau. Sept - Two weeks on the French. North Channel for one and Wolseley Bay for the second. Pike and Musky As you can see, I do the majority of my fishin' north of the border .... and love it !
  25. We'll get there .... I'm sure a couple of our presidents would fit that bill. Loonie that is.
