  7. Way to go muskykicker ..... Oops. I mean basskicker. Gonna have some of us dreaming for soft-water musky season ... if not already.
  8. Sell off his posessions and make full restitution to you ... with a brand new vehicle. Then sit his butt in jail for a while. Then, hang a big sign on him telling everyone what he did and walk all around London for a few weeks. But, the jerk would probably do the same to someone else.
  9. Yup .... Nice big bucktail (black)
  10. Maybe this artic blast and cold front diving south will make it down to the Caribbean by the 25th, so you won't miss out too much. That sounds like a great time and yes, post some pics when you get back. Get a little tan for the rest of us.
  11. All I got was the Cabella's catalog .... maybe the lures will be here tomorrow. We shall see.
  12. Ummmmmm. I can smell 'em cookin. Pretty tasty on a cold winter's day.
  13. You'll be casting them babies out there in no time. Hope everything works out great for ya.
  14. I've been using braided lines for years. For bass, I had used Spider Wire, but must have gotten into a bad batch, as I could easily break 14# just tying the knot. I think it was a bad batch (or an old spool at the store). I never had that problem before and it was a brand new spool. I switched over to Stren Superbraid last year at 14# and really like it. For musky, I read that a number of folks were using 80# Power Pro and have been using that the last few years. I use an open-faced spinning real and had a problem with the line knotting up on me. A few tips from the folks on here that have pretty well solved my problem.
  15. Welcome aboard. Great seeing new folks joining in. From south-central PA, I fish what would be called the Lower French, in the area around Noelville and have been going there for a few years now. We do a two week trip the end of September for Pike and Musky. One week on the North Channel and another out of Wolseley Bay. Beautiful country up there. Making my first trip to the GTG at Lakair in June and looking forward to it. Hopefully your trips are more productive than mine seem to be. Again, great to have you on board and looking forward to your reports.
  16. My Dad has a yorkie too and I do call her "Musky Bait". Doesn't go over very well. Very cute dog none the less.
  17. No sense in taking chances when conditions are like that. There are bound to me many idiots out there. There will be more fishing days to come. Glad to hear you're home safe and sound after that.
  18. That's one awesome report and a great read. Crappy anyone .... sure ! Nicely done gues, nicely done.
  19. Thanks guys and Keraml for the PM. This is a Hydrographic chart I guess ....showing water depths, etc. I'll give a few of these things a looksee. Fishindevil you're right on target. Helps to understand what I'm lookin at.
  20. Hey another bass fisherman. Welcome aboard bud. Let's see some of them beauties once the season starts up.
  21. Welcome aboard. Lot of folks on here with a wealth of knowledge on just about any topic. We love reports and pics whenever you can post them. Been quite a while since I set up an Avitar. Click on the Controls link at the top of the OFC page. That should take you into a section with a whole bunch of options for your personal setup. Once in the controls, there is a seletion along the left-hand side to Edit Avitar Settings - click on this. There is a place in there for you to download pictures. Dang ... been too long to remember the detail steps. LOts of others on here that can give you more precise directions. Again ... Welcome to OFC !!!
  22. I have picked up a Hydrographic map for the area around Lakair (chart 6038). As I look over the map, I can't find a 'key' to identify what all the symbols mean. Wondering if anyone has a link to a website where all these are defined. Been looking around this morning, but no luck yet. Symbols such as .... an asterisk A plus sign with dots in it Another one that looks like a music note with a squiggly line over top. Various letters such as M, R, S, Cy Numbers in parentheses ... such as (2) (Very technical aren't I). I may photo copy some of these areas around Lakair for June, but I need a little help in understanding what I'm lookin' at. Thanks in advance for any help.
  23. Congrats ... I just made it myself not too long ago. I wonder what the next milestone is ??? Maybe 1000 posts ??? Oh man .... my fingers hurt already.
  24. OFC Driftwood ... a little easier on the eyes.
