You should be able to find something within your budget. As mentioned above there are Many good places in the French River/ Nipissing area. There are some pretty good places in the kawartha lakes area too that are worth a look.

Advice on new Hook 7 Vrs. Helix 7 , or Alternative?
Musky Plug replied to fundseeker's topic in General Discussion
Garmin units have great picture quality IMO but I'm pretty sure they're not compatible with navionics. Did not know this. If that's the case I don't think you're DI isn't set up properly. Fish do show up on the DI and yes they can show up as dots but they should be distinguishable from a piece of structure. -
Even with heavy braid rocks still slice it like a hot knife through butta. Almost lost a BWB like that on Gbay, thank god they float lol

Definitely C! lol

Yes, I must admit I'm one of those guys lol. Among other baits that I bought, this year at the odyssey I spent $160 on one of the Trophic 5 musky baits. It looks like it's built like a tank but I haven't used it yet, waiting for Gbay to crisan that baby. That's the expensive end of my collection, I also have a few BWB's a hose bait and two headlocks and some various other baits coming in at just over the $100 mark.

That's a beauty fish! Congrats on the new PB! Sounds like a great start to the season! I'm jealous! Lol. Was out for the first time yesterday on sturgeon, had one rip trolling but it shook of right when I grabbed the rod. No dice casting, didn't see any fish. Sounds like your bait has got "it". Just keep trying to fix it until it won't hold up anymore. I made the mistake of retiring a bait and went and bought the exact same one, just wasn't the same.

Looking for some Concrete advice on a major issue.
Musky Plug replied to LeXXington's topic in General Discussion
I agree with the "expert" part. People usually get a quote from them and it's much cheaper then the proper way from someone who actually knows whats they're doing but it's too expensive so people go with the cheaper option. But Lexxington paid someone to cross all those T's and dot those I's and IMO they were really looking after him they would've told him to address the drainage issue before hand, and told him that the 10" curb wouldn't do much if anything to deflect water and put down the proper substrate material. And back in the day they generally did use sand for substrate because crushed stone was too expensive. -
Yes I have been looking there and Airbnb Yes we have been looking in that area as well as lake nipissing.

Looking for some Concrete advice on a major issue.

I'm a little confused as to the background part. - Your yard is clay? - The centre of the pad was supposed to be 6" and the perimeter was to be 10"? Generally when you pour a concrete bad there should be a base layer of 3/4" crushed stone, unless it was inspected by a soil engineer and deemed fit. If your backyard has a bad drainage issue that should've been addressed before the pouring of the pad to ensure no cracking or heaving. Also if you had a second company magaing the install IMO they should've been aware what was going on, and what needed to be done and making sure that the contract was being met that's why they were there?. I feel that they dropped the ball on this. -
Hey guys, We're looking for a place to stay for a week in late August, for 6 adults. Possibly one child. Looking for somewhere within 3-4 hours of the hamilton/ Burlington area. We would also need to rent boats as mine isn't big enough for everyone. I know this may limit our options however the budget would be somewhere around $1500 - $2000. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nice ski, and welcome aboard!

There was a marina in Coboconk across the street from the Home Hardware that used to rent boats. Not sure if they still do or not. Work a try if you're set on going to balsam.

Yes, he should be open. Can always call the shell gas station they might be able to help. Or like mentioned before call around to local places in the area you're going, they might be able to help as well. Good luck!

Those are some beauty skis! I couldn't make it out last weekend, had to attend a wedding . Will be heading out this weekend more than likely to sturgeon.

Is walleye still closed on Scugog? I've read threads on other forums that people have been fishing for them...

Gulp Alive: Best way to store them without leaking?
Musky Plug replied to PUMP KNOWS's topic in General Discussion
It smells something wonderful too! lol I have a buddy that bought some leak proof containers from walmart and just transferred the stuff into that because they would just leak all over, and also because I used to complain when it would leak into my boat! lol -
The screws through the hull, how did that happen? They looked like the icing on the cake from all the other work that was done. The guy who did the work sounds like an absolute beauty.
-
Nice looking walters right there. Good stuff!

Sweet report! Glad to hear you did well, shore lunch looks tasty!

x3. I think it's a good thing that they were out, however like stated before how are you supposed to know to stop if it's not clearly posted. Perhaps some of the people didn't realize they had to pull in until they were past the exit/ where they were supposed to stop. I would have a problem if they pulled me over a demanded to go through my things without a warrant. Can the MNR detain someone long enough to obtain a warrant? I'm aware the 5-0 can. I understand that they're trying to nab poachers but like also said before they should be more organized in their methods imo.
