Hey guys, posting for a friend here. As this explains he had musky baits stolen out of his boat while on vacation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. STOLEN MUSKIE BAITS *******$1000 reward******* Wishmaster Wish Dark Walleye Hosebaits Bluewater Baits Elzinga Baits Rennie Baits Perchbaits Stolen from my boat was a musky monster box and a 5 gallon pail rimmed with custom muskie baits. This happened between the hours of 9:00 pm and 6:30 am on Sunday evening August 31st into the morning of September 1st 2019 at Rock Pine Resort in Pointe Au Baril, Ontario. I am offering up a $1000 reward for the return of the baits that are listed below. Please keep comments in good nature, yes I probably shouldn’t have left them in the boat, but I have learned a hard lesson that will never be repeated. Let this be a lesson learned for everyone to take your stuff out of your boat for the evening. A lot of these baits are one off patterns made by Hoser, Lidio and Steve and have a been run hard with a lot of lip wear and hook rash present. Most importantly to me is they have history and most with a good story to tell. I would definitely like to see them returned to me and that’s why I have offered up a reward. Below is a list of what was taken to my best recollection but I am sure I am missing 5-10 baits and cannot recall everyone that was in the box. If your looking for a higher end reel I would go with the Shimano Stradik. I have an older model and its the best spinning reel I've owned. Also worth considering are the Shimano NASCI and the Daiwa Tatula. I have those as well. Both are at a lower price point but great reel.

90% of the time I'll texas rig it. Yes you can use 5". I actually tend to use 4" most of the time, even drop to 3" sometimes. Also I wacky rig it from time to time when the cover is sparse. As far as weight goes I use a weightless hook most of the time unless I drop to 3". Then I will use a 1/8 to 3/16oz.

Agree with the above statements S happens and there's nothing you can do about it. I myself have unintentionally hooked a musky in the gills and when I got it into the net there was nothing I could do but try to unhook it. Nearly swallowed my medusa from behind. I tried to revive it for a while but there was nothing I could do.

Ditto. I don't know if it was mentioned before but I always trim the legs shorter on my frogs, always. I cut them to either to the same length as the body or shorter. I feel that this has improved my percentages. If they still miss, in goes the senko.

Congrats it’s beauty bike! I have to agree with Aplumma here. I believe this is what/ how you must think when driving a bike as they’re are lots of terrible driver out there or people who just don’t care about bikes. You must always be the one paying attention. I’ve been told my many people I know who have rode bikes and still do with many years of experience, it’s not if you will get into an accident it’s when.

I"ll admit that I was one of those that was sucked into the vortex of custom made musky baits. I have spend some cash on those custom baits with sweet paint jobs but they still haven't put as many musky's in my boat as the some of my older cheaper baits. Not saying they haven't caught fish however my best lures have been the believer, blades and bulldawgs. On the OP with musky fishing dying off with people under fifty, I disagree. When I goto the Kawarthas I've seen many young guys out there fishing musky.

Beauty thanks. I looked up that area of Severn Sound on navionics, I've never fished there and looks like a big area. We will be there from Sat morning to Sun morning, was thinking it might be to much ground to cover in a day.

Hey guys, The GF and I are heading up this weekend to visit her dad for Father’s Day and hoping to get some fishing in. He’s on a lake connected to Glouster Pool on the lower end. Would like to try for walleye and pike in the Gpool but haven’t been able to find any good info. Should we fish Gpool or would we be better off fishing Little Lake? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

That’s crazy seeing that. Yes definitely some big ones were hungry. To bad there oos. They were inhaling 4” and 5” swimbaits. The walleye were eating them the same way too.

A bit of both. The ones we found on the main lake were smaller about 10"-12" range. Ones we found closer to spawning areas where bigger around 16"+ range no donkeys though. But the ones we found near the spawning areas some had spawned and some hadn't. There were some tank small jaws mixed there and I doubt that they had spawned as well even the small ones looked like they had been eating tennis balls. I wouldn't doubt if the pike are behind as well. It was tough for us to judge because we were only there for one day and to be honest spend a total of maybe 4 hours fishing pike.

I have a 14' aluminum. I have a 60" on mine and works fine. It does stick up a little but not a big deal to me.

Drove up to PAB for the day Saturday, ended up being a nice day weather wise. Fishing was slow but did manage to catch some decent eyes and just enough for a dinner and a few oos smallies, couple pushing 5+ lbs. Swimabits and jigging raps were the goto. Tried for pike in the afternoon, figured we would let the water warm up from the cool morning but the warmest water we found was 51.5 in some of the back bays. No pike to be found which was not ideal. So we just went back to fishing eyes.
