  1. I was with Tim Hales yesterday, almost positive they dont have laker huts, just perch. The ice over deeper water was all crashed together and jagged, there's no way you'd get a sled over it. And there was no huts out in the lake near Beaverton passed 20FOW. There was probably 100 or more huts in the 10-20FOW range for perch. Lots of ice quakes yesterday too, tons of pressure cracks everywhere. Ice thickness seemed to be all over, some spots 12 inches, others were more like 8.

Most cameras dont put Geotags. Post a fishing picture, I can tell you if it has GPS coords or not.
  3. You can remove geo tags from your phone. Its an option.
  4. I think I remember that thread
  5. Do we think people are finding spots based on pictures? Some pictures show nothing in the background. I feel thats a little paranoia. Sure if you said I get awesome bass on this point in 10 feet of water, that could be trouble. Make the forum private. Only members can view posts.
  6. St Croix make lighter musky rods for 3/4-3oz lures. About 7'6" I think. I think even a small mepps #5 is about 3/4 Oz or near that. A small jake is about 2oz. Could use a 50 size real. I'd imagine you could get away with 60lb line but I'm a rookie. Most reels only have max 20lb drag so the drag should work more than the line. I've reeled muskies in by accident on spinning gear with 20lb line.
  7. Well this forecast is basically what anything 1 hour of GTA looks like. If you wanted to go day ice fishing. I checked weather in zone 15 and it'd the same...at least in the Halibut on area. Next week has around 3 and 4 degrees everyday.
  8. http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/2017/01/11/man-missing-after-snowmobile-goes-through-stoney-lake-north-of-peterborough Terrible news. One rescued and one missing. Happened yesterday (wednesday). Not sure what the weather was in Peterborough yesterday but in York Region it was 10*c and raining pretty heavily.
  9. At least not for the Simcoe area.
  10. Anyone have any experience with the many day hut operators on simcoe. Looking to get out there for pike or trout. What part of Simcoe is recommended for either, I see operators all over the south end from east to west.
  11. Are the prices canadian?
  12. If only MNR were out there more frequently. So many people regs on the regular basis. I didn't see MNR once this summer.
  13. Whats the warranty on shipping a rod? Id worried it ship broken
  14. how much to buy the adapter plus the auger?
  15. Looking like warm weather next few days, probably not good for the ice
  16. I'm surprised 6 inches. This last week was rather warm around 1*c. And the next few days are going to be quite high with 26th around 9*c. I'd want to wait until after January for sure
  17. I've done overnights on nippising. Lots of companies offer it. Fishing is decent, walleye were small last year, maybe the spot we were in. Lake Simcoe has tons of day huts.
  18. Cool, didn't even know you could fish for sharks. Thought they would have been protected somehow. Is it strictly C&R?
  19. Belwood lake park will be closed 2016/2017. Was anticipating going there this winter, but not now lol. https://www.grandriver.ca/en/outdoor-recreation/Ice-fishing.aspx

  23. I read it that way as well. Fantastic offer
  24. Wow -36.....Where abouts is that?
  25. Is it because there's current through there? Its not very deep through that entire area. I would have thought that flat would be okay.
