  1. $60 for cable seems quite reasonable. Rogers ranges from 49.99-99.99 a month for just cable. Bell is the same. The cheapest you can get is the $24 one, but its the 40 odd basic channels the CRTC made the companies offer.
  2. without clicking the thread I knew tires of that size are $300 per tire. Thats normal and standard pricing. Best bet for cheap tires is Kijiji. There's no "magic" deal from retailers, they will all be within a few dollars of one another, unless you go for an off brand tire.
  3. I don't even remember where we were on the lake if you can tell from that picture. I guess this is in reference to the post above?
  4. Pete from OFC took me and my wife out for a full day of Musky fishing on Pigeon. The weather was cold and wet, but we had a great day and landed some decent fish! My wife started the day off landing a 39.5" on a senko (yes senko), on a light spinning rod for bass (she was taking a break from casting the big heavy stuff). I guess they wanted a really slow small presentation in the morning. We found an amazing spot mid afternoon that was on fire. Landed two good muskies and had 2 more follows to the boat. First one was 42" Second one was 40" I'll keep the lures a secret between me and Pete
  5. thanks for the help guys. Ive been keeping an eye on classifies and kijiji to see what things are worth. I know boat show is soon (march?).
  6. I can consider selling the 9.9, feels like a shame, bought it new last year, and it runs really nicely. Just wanted a bigger hull.
  7. Which 14's are lighter? I thought I was looking at the most entry level stuff offered.
  8. Awesome, great looking fish.
  9. Looking to get a 14' aluminum utility boat next year, and these 3 seem to all be comparable. They are all 14'x68" (or in and about). They range from 240lbs-285lbs, and all offer the split rear seat, with some storage. None of these boats are anything fancy and are all about the same price near $4000 for a new one. I already have a new 9.9HP and trying to utilize this for a new hull.
  10. where can you fish for Sturgeon, thought most lakes the fish is closed year round.
  11. Walleye and SMB. Weight between 1/8-1/4-3/8 Thanks for all the replies guys. Ive been in the lindsay bait and tackle, will he make them to the color and weight Im looking for?
  12. Looking at purchasing some hair jigs, but they aren't really sold at Bass Pro or any major store.
  13. video of some giant catfish at Chernobyl: The recorder says they are 2m long, pretty massive catfish.
  14. what lake and lure you guys using?
  15. Nice musky Gallie.
  16. Actually I believe the original idea of a barb was to hold bait on the hook, not prevent fish from shaking it. The latter might have been an effect of the former.
  17. Was watching Fishful thinking (man that guys annoying to watch), but anyways, he mentioned he mashed his barbs down on his spinner when he fishing for pike. Was wondering if anyone here does the same for big fish. I've noticed the barbs often get in the way when doing hook removal and cause a fair bit of damage.
  18. These were all on the same day in the same spot on Sturgeon, nice hot summer day in July. All 3 were caught using senkos fishing for bass, and on light gear and light line.
  19. We've caught a few on senko wacky rigged and t rigged. Always small though, under 30". It is a nuisance if you want bass and musky finds the line
  20. The more nostalgic part is 10k a year salary. Minimum wage is triple that now. I suppose it's all relative, average salary today is probably well above 50k a year.
  21. Went to his website but he is fully booked for 2016.
  22. anyone have any experience with Taro Murata in the Kawarthas? I would rather stay in the Kawarthas. I tried to get a hole of Fisher Pete on here but I guess he doesnt check the website frequently, I left him a PM a few days ago about going out for musky fishing.
  23. Looking to have a guided musky trip, and Georgian Bay seems to be the closest big body of water for musky. Lake St Clair is a bit to far for the day. I couldn't really find any other musky lakes with guides on them. Anyone have any recommendations for a guide on Georgian Bay. Or any other suggestions for other musky lakes with guides.
  24. good deal. weekday might be tough to make, to bad no weekend
  25. Hopefully everyone else is having more luck this weekend than I am. The wind is really killing my fishing, my boats to small to be out in the main lake with these waves.
