  1. I know I am a sucker for just about anything, but this I have to try. I hate the minnow roundup and the cold water in the winter so maybe this will be one of the ones that really works. They have a few reviews on site and both positive
  2. I just noticed that it was gone too, annoying little bugger. I didn’t change anything on my PC and I just tried it from my laptop and it’s gone from there too. Good riddance if you ask me
  3. Now I gotta change my shorts and get the coffee outa the keyboard geez I hate those things
  4. Speaking of Russians, this we call “Uncle Stephan’s medicine” 1 distilling unit, price… don’t ask but a good rod and reel range Yeast, water, sugar wait 3 weeks Pour into distilling unit, heat and watch the liquid joy emerge Flavor= orange peels, tea, and a lot of other stuff, comes out about 50% alcohol and will knock you flat on your tail. Looks like bourbon, tastes pretty good, and no hangover or so claims Uncle Stephan. Of course while the distilling is going on, about 3 hours to get 3L, there’s Wildcat Light
  5. That will stur up the funny bone, alas its so true
  6. funny, reminds me of the one that goes Western Union guy comes to the door and has a telegram to deliver The guy that answers the door says “can you sing it for me” The Western Union guy says “no” The other guy says “ ah come on I’ve never had a singing telegram” The Western Union guy says “but this is not really appropriate” The other guy says “come on, please, I really want a singing telegram” So the Western Union guy goes “your sister Rose is dead……………” I know, I know its early and this is pretty sick
  7. On line site crashed big time yesterday (9/30) but worked great about 7:45AM this morning, Now if only they could get rid of those door to door pests like Direct Energy
  8. I think that over half this horse hooey would stop if the speed limits were reasonable and enforced. Just about everyone knows you can get away with 120KPH on a 400 series highway so why not have the speed limit at 120 and enforce the damn thing. And eliminate the speed trap variations, 80 drops to 60 and then back to 80 with no rhyme or reason except to fill some cop’s quota
  9. Nuts, this is what I gotta look forward to !! Last eye exam, no macular degeneration, no complications from my friend diabetes, but the start of cataracts. Best of luck Photoz hope mine goes smoother someday Bob
  10. Run the voice and data networks and the whole data centre shooting match for an office supply company, probably never heard of us Staple something or other. Low stress job. I'm 65 and man would I like to say I'm retired and fishin
  11. so you wasn't a keeper, missed the slot size maybe ??
  12. Blackberry's on 7x24 comes with the territory running voice and data networks and data centre operations for a 300 store retail chain, and I can't wait to get out of this rat race. Like Nixon said "4 more years" maybe less if I get lucky like wake up some morning and decide to buy a chepo boat and go fishing.
  13. As mentioned previously where are these so called law enforcement officers on a daily basis. Considering the tax money we pour down their coffers we get very little in return. You almost never see them during the daily commute when it seems the idiots abound. Just my rant for the day
  14. We sure are animal lovers that's for sure. So here's the whole herd. Ivan, the Siberian, I posted before, but here he is again at 3 1/2 months of age. Pretty small compared to the others but they mature slowly taking up to 5 years to get to adult size. Ivan Czarovich, Ivan son of Czar. Small in size but fearless The old girl of the group is a 6 1/2 month old Norwegian Forest kitten. Jenny (Jensynn) is a wonderful girl but somewhat skittish. She mothers Ivan Lastly the gentle giant of the group Dora (Dora Explorer) a 4 1/2 month old Maine Coon Cat. Such a sweet loving kitten, best I have ever had And there you have the forest cat family, all 3 breeds. Although the color point Siberian is a source of conflict. Some say that since neither the Main Coon or Norwegian Forest cats have the color point variety the Siberian is not a forest cat. However the color point can occur between 2 non color point parents. Anyway these are "the kids" in our house.
  15. Well somebody already broke the feline barrier so I thought I would add this little guy. Pure bred Siberian kitten, not very common a color point variety sometimes called a Neva Masquerade
  16. I should have posted this earlier. The original post got me looking around. Company I work for keeps expanding into the boonies and sometimes there is no high speed anything available. Believe it or not we have run entire stores off 56kbps. Not very pretty, lotsa frustration, but it does work. There is a technique called line bonding, modem bridging etc. It essentially “bonds” simple phone lines to achieve speeds in multiples of 56kbps. With 2 lines you should get over 100kbps and with 3 around 150kbps. It’s not cheap or glamorous or anything like that but if you are truly desperate look at Netopia R2020 or Webramp 3101. Google um. Webramp seems the easier of the 2 as it doesn’t require support from the ISP side Anyway my 2 cents, better late than never
  17. Sad to see my tax dollars hard at work. This council hasn't much listened to anyone over the years that I have been here. Yet they claim that they need business, so lets continue to do all we can to remove lake access, and while we are at it we can build another eye sore and bottomless pit of tax dollars like Mt Grossi For those who do not live here Bob Grossi is the mayor of Georgina. His most recent accomplishment is a huge hill of fill removed from sewer diggings on the side of Woodbine Av on the way to Sutton. Supposed to be a recreational park. Well the fill was wet as in frozen. Last year it started to thaw and made the hill unstable so the park's on hold. Next they tried to dewater the hill but the water is contaminated so there's no where to put it, so there it sits and sits sucking up tax dollar after tax dollar. Seems OK to waste money on this eyesore but when it comes to improving access to the best resource we have no thanks.
  18. sonic lures, bought a whole bunch, wasted money caught nothing

    Rant NF

I for one would just like to go shopping without someone begging for money for whatever
  20. Had one of these furry buggers once that would take a pill, look at you like "OK I've gulped it down" then turn and spit the pill half way across the room. If that cat had a middle finger I know where it would be pointing.
  21. Very sad story, but every dang year about this time someone puts a sled through the ice on Simcoe. Pitty was these guys knew and said, that the ice was not safe
  22. Had a similar experience just after 8 this morning. Dialed Canada Customs to find out what the duty would be on importing a purebred Siberian kitten from the US. Total time less than 3 minutes, and best of all no duty maybe something's up that we don't know about
