  1. You'll probably be better off with a HELOC and purchasing the boat in cash. You won't find a lower rate I'd bet.
  2. Dave, I think you've found your new boat.
  3. They need to take these calls out of the refs hands and go to the war room in Toronto. You can't have decisions like this made by different refs each game. At least with the war room you'll have some sort of consistency.
  4. Chartruese with orange diamonds is a spec killer. My dads monster came on one of those.
  5. So now we're comparing dying doing something you love to not using a favourite lure in case you lose it? lol alright.
  6. I wouldn't worry about ice thickness I'd be worrying about traction.. Make sure you've got cleets or ice skates
  7. Go as big as you can on the TM, this is never a decision you'll regret.
  8. Who tossing frogs at -10 with 50km/h winds? lol
  9. I've got one or two of those in a box somewhere I swear, lol.
  10. Just saw it on the news... Glad they got one guy out.
  11. We'll put a beating on the whities, just gimme a call
  12. Sounds like he was flying like an ass and paid the price. Case closed.
  13. Nope, braid right to the frog. Frogs aren't something I like to throw in pike territory because of exactly that. You could try some thick mono leader maybe? 40lb or so? At least it wouldn't pull the frog down in the pockets like flouro or titanium would.
  14. I think as technology advances you'll see units with better bottom separation, although most units are a few inches at most now. This is why I love my side scan on the 899HD SI I've got on the console. I can mark big rock piles off to the side, set a waypoint then work my way around and get perfect lure placement. Big rocks and all those nooks and crannies are always going to be a pain. I just wanna know if there's fish on them, if I can get one to rise up and see it, the graph has done it's job.
  15. I'd like to use a HB 360 icefishing
  16. What does it do better then a HB or Lowrance? It's not like you can up and move 30ft in order to take advantage of it. To me it's way too cluttered. I get a 'live' show of what's going on below me with my 597HD just fine. Even on the boat I'd probably choose a HB 360 over this. The most important thing to me when vertical fishing (whether that's through the ice or not) is real time action of my lure and the fish below it. 2d/3d really doesn't matter. I will say this however.. On schools of fish like crappies or similar that can be very stationary to cover this would be a pretty useful tool. For whities/lakers? eh... I dunno... those fish rarely just sit still.
  17. I don't think the Panoptix is going to help you ice more fish. Might look a bit prettier but that's about it.
