  1. Personally I think 6 gauge is overkill, but I've never been in the position like Garnet mentions above. Doing it once is definitely better then having to do it again.
  2. Whitby doesn't open until April 15th.. Frenchmans is open, Jordan is, St.Catharines is, etc etc.
  3. That's spring fishing on the big lake for ya.
  4. Garbage lol! Fished from 7ft with the boards to 50ft until the winds kicked up from the NE and pushed me off the lake. Probably a few weeks too early, but what can ya do. If the border was still open I'd run over to Olcott or similar, the amount of browns they stock over there is ridiculous.
  5. Nice to be back on Lady O yesterday.
  6. That Ranger is a beauty!! I've love a 621S. Maybe someday!
  7. Sutton is an amazing place. Absolutely without a doubt it's the best 12 days of fishing I've ever had. You gotta do it, it really isn't all that rugged to be honest. I'd want to go on a high water year though, some of those 3ft gravel runs we fished were just unbelievable I can't imagine doing that again and having to drag the canoe over that stuff, lol
  8. Anyone fishing in another country and gets nailed with a fine like this after repeat offences should be banned from ever entering that country again.
  9. I'd love one for fishing deep lakers. I'd probably be on the camera more then fishing though...
  10. People always in there before the opener fishing walleyes. Witnessed it many times with my own eyes, lol.
  11. Out of the box it should be just fine. After you've got used to it, then worry about the advanced menus and mucking around fine tuning it.
  12. I still try to convince Lew every now and again to join me for a few hours on the water I aint giving up! Lol!
  13. How many feet of cord attached to the camera?
  14. Stop in the Sault and book a day with Tyler Dunn. Get out on the St.Marys.
  15. A few drive to places off hwy 144 that you'll have your fill of walleye on.
  16. Fish them like brookies. Small spoons, spinners tipped with worms. If trolling keep the baits in the top 10ft. Long leads.
  17. My thought is the Konrad boys had it easiest out of all the group's.
  18. Liked the show, really don't understand why the US team decided to chase a bluegill around for two episodes. I'm sure they're both great fisherman, but that was such a weak showing. Also, I don't agree at all with the Konrad boys pike that was weighed in. Ganked right in the side, I don't careif the fish swiped at it or not, hooks gotta be on the head somewhere, lol. Also another pet peeve, show was based out of Canada, 3 out of 4 teams were Canadian, finale was in Winnipeg and all the merchandise sold is in US funds on the website. I was going to buy a t-shirt and a hat but that came to $31 or so with $21 US shipping. Nope! Ridiculous.
  19. Yes, outlined by the OFAH. There's a PDF out there that outlines everything
  20. Only issue we had with bugs while floating down the Sutton for 12 days was further downstream in the evenings with the sanflies. 45mins of chaos and it was over. No issues with much else. I wouldn't make that trip in the fall, weather is way too unpredictable. Same goes when we fished the Attawapiskat, bugs weren't bad at all, pretty certain we were up there in June.
  21. Nice! Perfect laker net as well.
  22. I guess the good thing about that river is that if you don't like the conditions, they don't take long to change
  23. You didn't realize the water was way up?
