  1. Beaches always worked when I was a kid.
  2. I'd rather fish out of a 10ft Jon boat then a kayak.
  3. Appreciate the info. Another thing I need to try if/when we're ever allowed to fish again Need to re-arrange a rod holder lol
  4. Common sense should be a course in grade school Terry
  5. Lew, how far back in the prop wash are you usually running your baits? You also run big blades back there as well if you can keep them under the surface?
  6. Good. Close it down until June every year.
  7. Ramps being shutdown left and right. Not much to do now
  8. I run Okuma Convectors. Same reels I run using dipsys for salmon etc. No complaints.
  9. Optima used to be good, 15 years ago. Now? Not even close. Go to Total Battery, get some Group 31 AGMs and be done with it.
  10. Maribou is awesome for crappies when they're off the feed and you gotta finesse them.
  11. Am I the only one that leaves the house, launches the boat, goes fishing, loads the boat then goes home?
  12. That's some Final Destination type stuff right there, lol.
  13. Switch them out, takes 5 mins.
  14. Not hard to keep your distance at the ramp but common sense isn't so common unfortunately.
  15. Yeah, so much for common sense being so common, lol. Apparently Port D and Jordan have been closed down as well. I'm glad my trailer is in getting a new axle, and I'm not missing out on much.
  16. Very sad, read many an article he wrote.
  17. Lots of ramps still open. I've fished both the north and south shores of Lake O so far this spring. Hopefully be trolling the mouth of the Notty in the near week or so as well.
  18. No need to troll deep for browns in the spring. I use planner boards and want those baits in 8-20ft of water maybe 5-10ft down. Long leads leads in the spring and flatlining works just fine, who knows what you'll get out there (lakers, kings, browns, etc) You can always cast as well.
  19. No worries, hopefully you'll find something close that's open!
  20. Personally I think 6 gauge is overkill, but I've never been in the position like Garnet mentions above. Doing it once is definitely better then having to do it again.
  21. Whitby doesn't open until April 15th.. Frenchmans is open, Jordan is, St.Catharines is, etc etc.
  22. That's spring fishing on the big lake for ya.
  23. Garbage lol! Fished from 7ft with the boards to 50ft until the winds kicked up from the NE and pushed me off the lake. Probably a few weeks too early, but what can ya do. If the border was still open I'd run over to Olcott or similar, the amount of browns they stock over there is ridiculous.
  24. Nice to be back on Lady O yesterday.
