  1. I think we all assumed you were using a centerpin. Ditch the 20lb mono, that on a spinning reel will be a handful. I'd probably load up with 6lb Fireline Crystal and be done with it.
  2. It doesn't matter if they'e setup in parallel. You can do either and it will work just fine. (ie use one battery or both)
  3. The casting distance I get with 6lb Nano over anything else is pretty nutty. It's like night and day. Now if you're fishing east ditches, then casting distance really doesn't matter. But say the Geen and bigger tribs? It can make or break your day. Only thing I really dislike about Nano is the fact that ice in your guides will rip it to shreds.. Other then that, I don't see any downfalls. (Sans maybe the price). Too many positives to ignore. Also those hero hooksets are a lot of fun :) I do spool up with Drennan Super Specialist or Fireline Crystal once the cold weather and ice get here, for a mono it's good stuff.
  4. Take a wild guess, add 2 inches and you're done!
  5. Yeah, you gotta use a shot line with Nano or any braid...
  6. Don't forget to spend some $$$ on a good sleeping pad. That's what is going to keep you warm.
  7. Ugh, I gotta get out and chase a few of these raptors! Totally jealous man! Great shots!
  8. Love it! When you are shooting highspeed burst (Which I'm assuming you're doing) are you leaving it in RAW or changing to JPG? I've read all kinds of different thoughts on this on a few forums when taking pics of BIF.
  9. You're going to have a hard time finding a blank at just any key place.. I'd learn how to bypass the ignition switch
  10. Great minds think a like!
  11. No, that would be awful. I like braid, Nanofil or Fireline.... If you don't want to run a super line, stick to mono.
  12. I put the tape over the fish from nose to tail.
  13. This is the funniest thing I've seen all morning, lol!!!!
  14. Smallies are most likely chasing giant schools of shad (They are spawning now)... Suspended out over open water. I've been fishing this pattern for about 2-3 weeks and have been laying a beating on them. 20-30 fish evenings are the norm for us. Find the current areas and you'll find the fish.
  15. I'm kinda wondering this as well. I ripped the skeg clean off our old Honda 40hp 4stroke after a run-in with a shoal on Gbay. Got home, took it to a shop, got it welded back up, back in business, lol.
  16. Steal one out of a net at Crappy Tire :)
  17. Karma sometimes comes back and bites you in the ass REALLY hard.
  18. You should be thanking the Batchewana First Nation...
  19. Doug, you're a walleye machine!
  20. Great report Drew, I can never get these damn things to bite. I might have to come up your way for a few days and experience some of these giants!
  21. Get a high mileage Outback, put some BFG AT's on it, a lift kit and you'll be set.
  22. I think I've found my next boat!
  23. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I'd love to know the blood alcohol level of the person behind the wheel.
  24. Open water king fishing in GBay isn't exactly a slammer. I'm guessing that's what he was referring to.
  25. Caught a cormorant a few weeks ago, that was fun.
