  1. Sitting in a canoe tied up to a dock at Dry Pine Bay (French River) catching sunfish and perch early one morning when I was about 6 or 7 (I was the only one out there).. I see this giant shadow coming towards the canoe, grabs my worm and just keeps on swimming, didn't speed up, didn't slow down, just spooled whatever line I had on there. I couldn't even lift up the rod because it swam under the dock, lol! It was massive, I don't even want to guess. My first to the boat was caught on Gloucestor Pool while fishing topwaters for bass just before sundown a few years ago. Not very big, maybe mid 30's but it was quite the commotion when it nailed that Zara Spook Jr.
  2. Undercards were so much better then the main event.
  3. Late is right, my spots haven't produced in over a month. Great catch!
  4. If it's still that cold, they'll be all over the place. Jig them out of deep water just like you would icefishing.
  5. 18inches isn't exactly the depth of water you want to be fishing. Find the holes.
  6. Then you won't be buying 99.99% of the cars on the road
  7. I wonder if those will bend in half like the old ones To bad about the V8, they still haven't put the proper engine in that truck yet (Powerstroke)
  8. Yup, re-seat the tires about the only thing you can do.
  9. Old boys have been using WD-40 on worms for walleye for years, lol.
  10. Seen it a bunch of times, doesn't appear to affect them at all.
  11. Steelhead with a side of mud, mmmmmmmmmm.
  12. Pike have been known to spawn under the ice. You could find pre, post and spawning fish with this weather. Also, look for muskies
  13. Yeah but you're still driving a Dodge at the end of the day, lol. C7 vette all day in that price range.
  14. Mike, we might have a hard time getting that thing on the plane
  15. Insurance on a old 14ft tinny? Why bother? It's probably not worth the deductible.
  16. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to Shane. HB guy through and through, never an issue. I don't think you can go wrong with either brand to be honest. Although the birds seem to be a whole lot easier to run out of the box without any sort of setup.
  17. Like there are any good choices out there. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
