Wacky weather lately around here man, it was raining inside the house on saturday and the rain was hitting my face...climate change i tell ya. Muzzins hit on Saturday was crazy impressive, stick check knocks the puck off of the man and then levels him. Awesome.

my only gripe with life below zero is some of the stupid stuff that they hype up and make dramatic. One episode buddy took a snowmobile out to cut some dead dry trees down to get fire wood. He spent a couple of days cutting trees and hauling wood on a sleigh. The dramatic music and fast cuts they used while he was cutting the trees down as if it was a life or death situation turned me right off. Like come on, buddy is using a chainsaw...i know thats exciting for city folks..but really?

View Advert iFish Pro Hi Guys, For sale is an iFish Pro. Full disclosure, i cracked one of the two clips that come with it while unboxing it, but simply put electrical tape on the clip and it fixed it just fine. the other clip has never been used, and it also comes with a spare tension clip as well. This tip up was used for approximately 1 hour, I caught a pike with it, but then switched back to using my HT rod holder. Only reason for selling is because I cant rig the ifish pro how I like for crappies and walleye. Its purely preference, my loss is your gain. I can meet anywhere between Toronto and The French River Advertiser AKRISONER Date 01/30/2019 Price 20.00 CAD Category Fishing Classifieds

I wouldnt cut the shaft...they dont get in the way and even if you run a little skinny water they dont stick up that bad. longer shafts retain their value a lot better too.

ive been in Pointe Au baril and I would say you will be fine. The snow up there is very very sugary and light due to the cold this year. I would be more worried about trying to get through the bush or any trails if you have to. Once you get on the ice your quad will just blow right through it. Although, its starting to get so deep that you might be on the verge of plowing with the front end and then you arent going anywhere. Last weekend guys were on the ice with their quads no problem, but I think they just got another 25cm up there so it may change.

i think he is referring to next year. As of now the leafs look like they are definitely all in, which they absolutely should be. This is the strongest leaf team you will literally ever see for a very long time. You have your two biggest stars on entry level contracts and one of your top 4 D is on a contract year, Another one of your stars (kap) is also on contract year and the salary cap is an issue big time from here on out. Win now, and be competitive later. Trust me Kapanen is one of my favourite players on the entire team, and thats exactly why i think you shop him for a big time D man. I dont think anyone would argue that if you traded Kapenen for Dougie Hamilton that the leafs are not a better team...because as much as we love Kapanen, a top 2 right handed D for a 3rd line winger is a trade you make when you are trying to win right now. Think of that D core! Reilly Gardiner Muzzin Hamilton Hainsey Dermott insanity
-
ive said it before, ill say it again...kapanen + a D man? or how about gardiner + for Hamilton?
-
This deal is gonna makea guy like Chris Brock especially happy. but even the stats nerds on twitter are loving this deal. But I still have a feeling that Dubas isnt done yet 5 outta 6 of the leafs D are left handed...its been confirmed that Toronto has been talking with Carolina. Dougie Hamilton would make the leafs look like a really really really heavy contender.

Wish I could help you out Lou, but to be honest, aside from a few locals...guides are few and far between on g bay once you get north of Parry Sound. I know of one guide in Pointe Au Baril, but personally I wouldn’t recommend him for pike, even if he was willing to drive you around. I’ve fished with him before but it’s mostly run of the mill stuff, things you’d easily do and figure out on your own. Plus his boat is a big old kingfisher. Not the best platform for fishing bass and pike. My concern is that you may have people willing to “guide you” but I’m not so sure that their willingness equals results. Have you considered fishing the French river instead? I definitely know that there are multiple guides that offer services out of the area there. the complete lack of quality guides in my area is something that has had me thinking for a while that when the right time comes along, I may just end up making the jump to get the proper insurance and safety requirements to start guiding part time in the area. For the time being though, I’m still young and enjoying the fishing with my friends...but maybe the day when everyone moves on and has families and I’m left to fish alone, I will go full out. Ive tested the waters a few times with close friends at both my locals and on their home lakes and ive done a pretty good job. Some day...some day

I think you are fooling yourself if you think Mckinnon is only slightly worse than Mcdavid. I think you havent watched Mcdavid play enough. You have to remember that line on colarado is the equivalent of putting Matthews, Tavares and marner on a line together. Their stats are over inflated. Mcdavid is more than a scorer hes a game changer. You need to see who his line mates are to understand. recently he was on a line with friggin kassian as recently as 2 weeks ago. To get him, it would take mckinnon and rantanen and a first, and even then I dont think edmonton does it. This isnt the olden days where trading away the greatest player of all time bailed your team out of financial trouble because you could add cash to the deal. Edmonton traded gretzky because the dollar was so poop that they were going to go out of business even while selling out every single game and being the best team in the world. To this day its still debated whether they should have done it. Unfortunately for Connor, he isnt going anywhere. Fortunately for the Edmonton fan base, he isnt going anywhere. There is literally 0 reason to watch the edmonton oilers at the moment except for the fact that the best player on the planet is playing for them. Hence they pull good crowds and still have a revenue source despite being abysmal for the past decade.

crazy enough, it turns out the rope lure technique is against the fishing regulations. I believe there was a thread around here somewhere where the matter was discussed and confirmed by a CO that you cant use rope to hook a fish! funny enough, the gar we have caught have been out while fishing largemouth. They ended up eating whacky rigs and somehow we managed to get them in. I have never been able to get the big ones to bite at anything, Ive seen multiple 50 inchers sunning themselves and usually when i throw a crankbait at them they simply lazily swim away from it. Its fairly common to have them come right up and check out your lure though. If you are running a crankbait through a school of them, usually you can get a hit from the smaller more aggressive fish, but getting the hooks into them is very very tough.

As has been said here, eastern g bay can be a pike haven, but you gotta be there in the right window. I.e. second week of May through till the 3rd week in June. You also better have a guide or someone that knows where there are actually solid weedy bays otherwise you’ll find yourself driving around in uncharted water over a hell of a lot of rocks. In some ways it’s good because, to be honest at that time of year, find a shallow bay with weeds in it, there’s a great chance big momma is still hanging around nearby, but on the other hand, there are a bloody ton of shallow bays that don’t have a spec of life in them except maybe a few bedded up smallmouth hiding in the pencil reeds 2 feet from the waters edge. If you try fish it in July through august? Good luck. Then I’d recommend forgetting the pike fishing and instead enjoy some of the best smallmouth fishing the entire world has to offer. the benefits of GBay are 1. The drive is far more more reasonable than driving from Florida to Nipigong 2. You will find a totally different type of lodge, it’s going to be more cottaging than a fly in/far north outfitter. to me in some ways the experience of a northern outfitter is what it seems like the OP Is interested in, emulating his experience in the NWT if that’s the case go further north and catch a pile of Walleye and a ton of monster pike. or..shorten your drive and open up your horizons to catching some smallmouth, largemouth, Walleye and the occasional pike to boot! All while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet. also parry sound has ok laker fishing, but you didn’t hear that from me

feel for me folks, my dads side of the family is from edmonton...I was an oilers fan before I was a leafs fan...Im more of a leafs fan since i moved here when i was 8...but edmonton is my second favourite team. Its nearly as painful as my buddy who loves football, is a leafs fan and his football team is the the cowboys.

An aggressive black bear video , this hunter was lucky
AKRISONER replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
im confused, he wasnt trying to shoot the bear with that bow was he? also why did he wait so long to try and scare the bear off. Ive always been told if you come across a bear scream as loud as you can. Im lucky enough to have not come across one walking but I know they are around, my mom came across one in Manitoba while out for a jog, She yelled bloody murder at it and the thing figured there were less noisy meals to be had. Grizzlys on the other hand, to hell with them. One nearly killed my cousins best friend. When they are hungry, you are food. The thing ate part of his leg but he managed to survive by gouging its eyes with his bare hands! -
the funny part is no...its not,its actually a real legitimate concern for ottawa fans. the few that there are.

bingo.. when rielly, Nylander, Matthews, Kadri, Kapanen are all not scoring...Im a lot less worried then if its one single guy. People forget they went through an almost identical cold patch last season at the exact same time and ended up with a franchise record for points. You wanna face adversity and be ice cold in january and february, because then you are hot when it matters. Thats also why you build a huge cushion early so that teams dont catch you when you inevitably have a rough patch. Freddy has only been back 2 games as well and last night the game could have gone either way. im not going to worry about it until the leafs are actually out of the playoffs.
-
when will Ottawa ever make the playoffs again, at this rate? never because the team is going to fold in 4-5 years.
-
we arent seriously going to listen to a guy talk trash about the 7th place overall team while his favourite team is tied for second last place and only 1 point up on dead last in the entire NHL are we? The gold in all of this is that when draft lottery time comes around and Ottawa gets that high 1st round pick...ahh how sweet it is that it gets shipped right over to Colorado lmao. No hope in hell for the senaturds Also ahaha i hear offered duchene 8 million per season for the next 8 years! Duchene is 28 years old and has only scored over 60 points once in his career. Hes barely a 30 goal scorer! God i hope the do it. Come on douch-ene sign it and decimate the most pathetic franchise in the entire NHL even further!

Make sure that when you purchase the new unit that it is a N (networking) model. my buddy made the mistake of buying link but doesn’t have networking capable graphs so it was a waste of his money
