  1. We take the entire pleasure boating industries usage…I think it’s safe to say the specific application of dragging a two horse into the bush where there is no electricity is not representative of the majority lol
  2. +1 for amsoil. We have a membership, and I use their oil in my boats as well and I’ve got nothing but good things to say about them. Their pricing is actually lower if you purchase direct from the dealer.
  3. Eh, I wouldn’t worry too much about the carbs on a 2014. Run ethanol free premium only if you can. Consider running a load of seafoam through it. Run good quality synthetic two stroke oil only. tension and alignment on the track are really important to keep an eye on. Good luck with the Arctic cat 😉
  4. is it any different than hauling 100 litres of gasoline?
  5. did you guys hear about the waves on lake superior. 8-10's oh...and by the way thats meters 😯
  6. i wish this held up for the new ones...got a buddy witt one that has gone through 3! yes 3 warranty engines
  7. both tbh...canadian fishing $h!+ for sale is a good group. But hashtagging the heck out of some quality photos of your stuff on instagram will help too. Also follow as many fishing related profiles as you can. There's somewhat of a community on instagram. Most of us bass guys all know of each other at this point. We all end up competing against eachother at the various opens that occur through the summer.
  8. Depends if it’s a 2 or 4 stroke. A 4 stroke will go 20,000+ km do a compression test on the motor if you go and look at it. You can get a meter on Amazon. It’s a very simple process and will tell you if the motor is in operating shape or not. Basically if the compression is solid you don’t have a ton to worry about. everything else will be related to the track and suspension itself. there’s some pretty good YouTube videos on “what to check when buying a used snowmobile” they go pretty in depth, but for the most part the stuff they tell you to check is pretty straight forward
  9. Unless you want a broken snowmobile, don’t buy Arctic cat
  10. So many old yamadoos running they just don’t die. Stay the hell away from Polaris and don’t even bother looking at Arctic crap
  11. Give it 20 years and all recreational boats will be electric
  12. It’s actually not that sophisticated, it’s a simple ponze scheme with lipstick on
  13. Honest question about your application and usage...is there any specific reason for wanting two batteries for that much capacity? Are you a heavy troller using specifically the trolling motor? The boys and I have put some extremely long hours on the boats and never once has anyone ever ran out of juice for their TM. To the point that our main batteries were low from running the graphs all day. Do you specifically fish places for multiple days without access to a charger in open water? The idea of using two batteries simply for capacity seems like a lot of weight for not much benefit, especially if you only have a 2 bank charger. personally? save yourself a hell of a lot of money, weight and hassle, buy yourself 1 really high quality large AGM battery and call it a day.
  14. With high quality brass or even better gearing in most high end stuff…this is what makes spending the extra money sooo much more worth it. You take an old stradic or curado apart even after you’ve fished the thing into the ground, throw in a new bearing, replace a bail spring, clean it, oil it and grease it and the thing performs like new. once you start servicing your own gear you see exactly what you are paying the extra money for.
  15. im going to be keeping a very close eye on the secondary market. Already a pile of them popped up with people offering a 25% discount cause they got them 50% off. They arent moving either so theres some opportunity there to snipe one if the timing is right.
  16. I’m so ticked…Garmin was 50% off at bps in the states and I’ve been looking at getting a 10 or 9 for the bow to have one unit run livescope exclusively… no discount at all here in canada
  17. gf just bought me the battery for Christmas lol
  18. Shopped more local and spent my money at Peterborough Pro Tackle. 20% off megabass and jackall, any time you get that kind of discount on Japanese stuff you gotta pull the trigger 40% of diawa. Ended up getting a few of the fancy diawa crankbait boxes for basically the same price as Plano. Next years plastics are all now stocked up and ready to go!
  19. Caught a 4.75 largemouth 2 minutes into a tournament this fall…thought we were toast…sure enough a 30 minute lul ensued…then we caught 3 3lb smallies on three casts, back in business!
  20. I too sometimes wish I could go off grid to my own solar system 😅 sorry for spamming lol
  21. Salt i couldn’t even escape it this past weekend and the overnight lows were 8 degrees. Figured it was going to be a solid weekend for a fish, drag the boat up and sure enough a squall came through in parry sound and dumped snow on 559, boat got absolutely coated in salt. brought it home and washed the hell out of the boat but I can only think of the mess it made of my trailer and components. carpet needs a full cleaning now too smh
  22. you think a stratos would do ok in the Lagos lagoon?
