  1. name of the company? everywhere i am finding is 350 for 4 hours
  2. Hey Guys, So the girlfriend and I are considering a trip to Nuevo Vallarta in the spring. Naturally, this means that I will be thinking about doing some fishing. Obviously there are a tonne of charters available for deep see fishing, however because I will very likely be solo, or at very most just the two of us, hiring a charter is pretty difficult. Ill also mention that downrigging with 8 other strangers just doesnt seem like too much fun. Personally I would love to flat fish, but im struggling to find anything online in regards to this. The closest thing I have found is some largemouth bass fishing tours, but spending 300 dollars to go bass fishing seems kind of crazy, especially because most of these tours seem to be where you just get dropped off and shore fish. Let me know if anyone has made the trip and knows of any options.
  3. Awesome site matt, thanks Also are you using the perfection knot for both ends? Seems like it would tie heavy fluro pretty easily.
  4. good to know, ill be making a trip there on my bike come spring!
  5. Ive been interested in making my own leaders for a while now. I kind of like Fluro a lot more than steel, but at 10 bucks per leader it seems like a worthwhile investment. Plus, then i get to select the swivel id like to use. I find that the berkley pretied glued leaders are just way way overboard, the steel is as thick as the line. I keep seeing everyone talk about crimping...any suggestion on products that you would recommend? Whats the best bang for buck and where to grab em?
  6. Matt are you delusional? Aside from Reimer letting in the first shot of the game you guys let the leafs dominate you. If Reimer makes one save and doesnt let his team completely down Ottawa played terrible. I didnt know being outshot 40-24 classifies as an improvement in Ottawa. i guess you guys are really struggling that hard. To be honest Matt I know that feel.
  7. any preference on knot selection matt? Bill M "Floats a lot better then flouro does. This is what I use for leader when tossing topwater for bass." And so do I
  8. I can only pray. I tweeted after the first period last night...If you are going to tank, do it properly. Thats all i can hope for now. Tank and tank well.
  9. id hope you are making millions at your current job cause if not id head down to the ACC and plead your case.
  10. lol im gonna walk out on simcoe blindly, with no clue what i am doing what so ever...im sure it will work out perfectly for me. I am just waiting for Bill to treck across parry sound harbour to give me the all clear Killer job though guys
  11. Anyone have any idea what lake this is at all? Seems like a big one, so it cant be "too secret" for a second i thought parry sound but then quickly realized you cant keep any fish until february, and even then its only 1.
  12. I love how people are using Patty Kane as their comparison...are you stinking kidding? If you played on chicago youd have a prettty good rating too. kessel plays with bozak or kadri as his centres. Just slightly different than playing with a toews or getzlaf or crosby. by the logic here, kunitz is better than kessel. He isnt...
  13. good teams build good lines to play around their snipers... Steven Stamkos, Alex Ovechkin. Once again a reiterate, my friends article http://faceoffcircle.ca/2015/01/17/time-trade-steven-stamkos/ Read it, i dare you.
  14. gotta pay to play. I would personally never buy a new boat but thats just me. Too many idiots out there that buy boats and then use them one season and then they leave them parked in their garage for the next 10 years. My pops bought a 28 foot rinker for 70% off cause it was 2 years old and had a whopping 10 hours on it.
  15. if you honestly think trading phil kessel is a good idea you clearly dont know much about hockey. Unless the package included 2 top prospects and a first rounder. and no one is going to give that up. Phaneuf isnt going anywhere thats a 100% guarantee mark my words.
  16. Huzz, he is confusing them with bowfins or lings most likely out of curiosity has anyone here eaten bowfin? would it be similar?
  17. Shannahan's strength is his ability to evaluate and know players. Are people forgetting that Dave Nonis is the GM here? If you honestly think the Leafs are going to be buyers at the deadline you are an idiot. Basically the story will be, how much TNT they throw into the team at the deadline. Will they dump everyone, or just a few key pieces. They aren't trading Kessel or Phaneuf, but dont be surprised to see Gardiner, Kadri, Lupul, Bozak, Reimer or anyone on the 3rd and 4th lines go. if someone is willing to grossly overpay in young talent and prospects for kessel simply for a playoff push, then yes he might go, but it would be for a hefty price. Dont be surprised to see a team that has trouble scoring pick him up. Vancouver, LA, San Jose all teams that dont score a lot but are already sound defensively. Also dont be surprised if the leafs actually pick up a number once centre if one becomes available. this trade would involve trading at least 2 of Toronto's better players away for it. Maybe even 3. Perhaps the only untouchable at this point is JVR. the guys contract is way way way too good to get rid of him. If you are a kessel hater, read this article by my buddy http://faceoffcircle.ca/2015/01/17/time-trade-steven-stamkos/
  18. i use it constantly, the only dowfall is that when the wind is really ripping, the head can get over twisted when it is constantly trying to make corrections. I love it though when I am cruising close to reefs or shoreline. Ill be tossing baits out and get a hit or a miss, hit the anchor button and boom im right back on the fish
  19. imagine your two favourite teams are the leafs and oilers....oh wait...mine are
  20. it would be interesting to know if acclimatization would have an effect on this. There is 100% proof in the fact that altitude has a multitude of effects on the human body. My concern would be that after a months time the effects that you feel at first subside once your body has acclimatized. In march i spent a week in Jasper AB and spent the week splitboarding (climbing mountains on ski's with skins) with my cousin who lives there. The effects that i experienced on my respiratory system were astonishing. I can only imagine the changes that were occuring in my body over the week that i spent. I trained extremely hard at sea level at the gym 6 days a week leading up to the trip for 3 months straight, and was quickly humbled when climbing at 10,000+ft in the opposite perspective, upon my return to sea level i went to the gym and easily put up a personal best time on the same treadmill i had been training on 2 weeks prior. The problem was that the super human abilities I had attained from exercising at extreme altitude completely subsided after a weeks time re-acclimatizing. I would worry that you may experience the same thing. I would really hope to spend an extended amount of time in a location before moving to ensure the effects are lasting.
  21. What have we learned from watching professional sports...the draft is rigged.
  22. old fish, old flavour...mutton tastes like garbage in comparison to fresh lamb as well. If you think otherwise you are probably some crazy old english guy that grew up in a coal mine.
  23. the leafs literally require another 10 game winning streak to even have a chance at getting a wildcard spot...safe to say there will be no playoff hockey in Toronto this year.
