  1. impressive, looks great!
  2. the jellys my guess came from an aquarium...eek less mayflys...more hungry fish...i aint complaining! To be honest though manitou, down on GB the mayflies basically explode around the end of June and then vanish. I never see them in the summer...maybe im just not observant enough? But usually i try pay close attention to this stuff, even more now since ive started fly fishing.
  3. this started up last year...sounds like things are staying positive. my buddies have a place at the ganny, up until last year it was rare for them to catch eyes...then all of sudden the population sort of exploded. We were bass fishing for a few days and we ended up boating 6 eyes over the two days. The pattern has continued this year, they are getting as easy as the bass to catch. Great news. Thats what winter closure does for the population apparently.
  4. I actually am definitely going to try this before blowing a bunch of money on a mount...thanks for the tip.
  5. ...you dont wanna know what i paid for my old PD1 its good to have good friends lol...from what ive seen pete, that model would probably go for about 400 bucks. As mentioned the pedals break easily.
  6. first you have to actually have a cold winter I dont complain...snowmobile time!
  7. i would expect Advanced Taxadermy to be sued by those that lost their trophies. That's where the real pain is going to be felt.
  8. run up in your crib wrap you up in your polo sheets 6 up in your wig piece ninja deceased...muah...may you rest in peace
  9. anyone have any real experience with the sea sucker? As mentioned earlier regular suction cups mounted on the seat in my tinner fail due to the vibration.
  10. would have loved to see them perform we'll go too...but whatever I still have fully completely to get me by.
  11. agreed on the expansion protection play. keep sparks and anderson out of las vegas' hands
  12. he wont make the team...and if he does he will be a utility for the marlies on a 2 way...basically just adds some depth to the 4th line if one of your bigger guys gets hurt you can use him in a limited roll. Prust has had some serious leg injuries that have hindered his skating abilitiy. The bonus here is that he is an experienced NHLer that can provide that to the marlies.
  13. this season is going to be fun to watch. They lost so many 1 goal games last year, with the added offence with the young guns we are going to be seeing an exciting team that will be learning from their mistakes.
  14. honestly been struggling with this myself. I tried a suction mount and it holds like a IQ challenged, but the subsequent vibration in the tinner makes the mount come loose. So stay away from suction...ill save you a few bucks there...the screw in ball mount might be the way to go...then all you need is a waterproof case and a external battery. Can anyone comment on the battery life using a tablet as their nav system? How long can one expect a charge to last running navionics.
  15. yet another solid solid move well done
  16. oh man this report is gonna be epic
  17. what a show...was even more cool because my best friend and the captain of my hockey team were constantly featured dancing, and at the very very end of the broadcast crying on national TV ahhaa. cant say i didnt get stuff in my eyes and a weird unexplainable clump in my own throat sitting in my living room. Gord's a friggin legend.
  18. In June this year I was out for a fish mid day near a property that had just sold a few weeks prior. The group was up and camping on their new property, hauling tools etc to begin their endeavor to build a new cottage on the property. The group had left into town and obviously left some food behind. Sure enough there was one of the biggest bears ive seen mulling around their camp breaking stuff. I think they learned their lesson about leaving food out. Year before on bass opener I caught a few fish, slimed the boat a bit...was right tight into shore when not 5 minutes later i hear loud crashing through the bush...out popped a female right in front of my boat...was thankful I wasnt shore fishing that day!
  19. contrary to the goofs around here...i miss mike! frig those are beauty lakers...well done!
  20. petro 94 shell v power costco 91 canadian tire 91 all dont have ethanol http://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=ON a listing of all gas stations with ethanol free gas
  21. Ive got a 2 stroke 15 that i run on reveen I run nothing but ethanol free shell gas 91 with a bottle of seafoam. I was totally skeptical about how well seafoam works, but on my old 91 suzuki it literally changed the motor from one that misfired and didnt idle well even after cleaning the carb, to a brand new smoothly running one pull motor. Im a believer
  22. I was literally going to make a post to the forum to ask about LED light strips and if anyone had any experience with them. I have a tinner and was considering using 3m LED strips in green and red to provide navigational lighting to the front of the tinner. Some nights we hang out late on the water right near the cottage and I would feel a lot better having some lights even if they are not technically "regulation" its better than nothing.
  23. well im back in the land of milk and honey...permanently...those GB bass better look out

  24. that would have been scary as all hell! Thats why you dont give err through areas that you have not boated the exact path before. That looks a heck of a lot worse than "the water is low so rocks are being hit that werent there before" that looks outright like he smashed into a shoal. Incredible no one was hurt.
  25. sweet pics bud...lil hot for a touque dont ya think?
