james the reason im bringing up sienna's is because they a solid cheap reel with one of the biggest line capacities of any 1000 series reel. Perfect for lakers...i picked two up on sale for 20 bucks a pop a couple weeks back. Obviously you can go more expensive, but even if you blow one up (I have)...whats 20 bucks? The drag system in them is as good as any 100-200 dollar reel. Trust me i had a pike with a 20+ inch girth take my line for a ride across the entire lake last year and the thing performed flawlessly. I think some of the laker chasers will agree as well. You arent casting the things, so a good drag system is everything.

took a quick glance over this...am i confused, or did you guys end up exploring any unfished lakes or not? it seems like you spent all your time in the two camps? maybe i need to read more thoroughly

in contrary format i spent 8 days hitting eyes a couple weeks back on GB and we boated over 200 fish...id trade every last one of em to catch that goliath. That is what you call a friggin donkey. That might be the biggest eye ive seen a photo of and definitely the biggest one ive seen around these forums.

my walleye and pike rod is a medium fenwick elite tech...been a fan of them and the aetos. if you are planning on fishing lakers get a heavier longer rod with a sienna 1000 and you are set.

to further add to the deals, the fam just grabbed an 8 inch jiffy 4 stroke auger for the cottage for 316. not too shabby at all canadian tire, not too shabby.

honest question, why cant they ban walking in the park unless you are hunting? It is on the exact same level of legality as someone fully licensed to hunt. why are the hunters the ones that must suffer?

its been a long friggin time since weve had december ice...even that damn cold winter didnt produce the goods...its been even longer since I was able to snowmobile on the ice in december, but i do remember in 2008...? riding a sled on the ice on december 14th! regardless, all i need is 2-3 inches to walk out and get my pike on...is that too much to ask for for christmas?

exactly...its so rare to see a legendary performer(s) put out incredible work later in their career. the last group ive seen do this was Band of Horses, their first two albums are the best but their most recent and like 6th album is #3 Wanna talk about a late emergence, look at El-P the guy reached superstardom 30 years into his career after putting out like 15 albums!

i think we are long past politics on this team. that was the pattern for the past 50 years...Babs is playing the guys that the best players for the job he needs them to do. Corrado isnt able to fill any particular roll on the team better than who they have playing. its that simple.
