  1. Nicely done, as usual! I was surprised last Sunday at how many were roaming open areas with little to no weed cover at all....but they would come from a long way to hit jerkbaits. Water on the lake I was fished was super low....they actually put a log back in the dam a week prior because people weren't able to get their boats out
  2. Bay of Quinte for sure! Call up Lloyd...you can find him here http://www.stevemorissette.com/uandme/ or on OFC as fishhunter.
  3. Some really nice bass there....great job! I'd never think of throwing plastics at night....now I will! One thing I didn't understand though....the term "decent rockbass". WHAT on EARTH is decent about ANY rockbass?!?!?!?
  4. That hurts more than looking at Terry's avatar!
  5. 65 degrees....told my 11yr old that I'd go in if he did....was bearable enough that I got in first and was able to act calm enough that he thought it wasn't really that bad Off all week...hmmm....msg sent
  6. Booo! Sorry to hear the trip is cancelled....that stinks. Lots and lots and lots of places to go within 4hrs of GTA....I would have to say make the stretch and go for Temagami. Plenty of places to stay for a weekend past North Bay...in cabins or tents, paid or on crown land.
  7. For car-camping, it was good. Nice that we had the "wilderness" section to ourselves...and more or less proved that we can make it work with the baby. I could see it being a great place to stay for a weekend fishing trip...not a ton of activities for the kids during the day. I'm dying to hit that lake though....the launch is WAY better than the adjoining lake I was on last year. I'd be more than happy to join you if you make it out again....drop me a line Oh...on Sunday we trotted back to the in-laws...took a dip in the chilly water and sight-fished the second biggest smallie of the year...spotted from the dock
  8. So funny
  9. Beeee-yooooooo-tiful! That's the way to do it
  10. Nicely done, Jim! I ended up camping with the kids at that spot we talked about....but was boatless....just means we'll have to go back next year Keep those buckets coming....lookin' real good
  11. JB's Tackle Depot...Ronson drive just off Dixon/401. Decent selection of Sebile stuff...can't say offhand if he has koolies...# is 416.614.7222
  12. Great report, fishingitis....but keep a combo handy for smallmouth....the fishing only gets better from here on in...if you get an opportunity, jump on it
  13. There is a fellow by the name of Terry that runs Eagle Lake Outfitters....or bait shop....up in that neck of the woods. Drop in when you go, or give him a call....he usually has great info
  14. Very nice....some beauty smallies there! I'm still working on fishing deeper...the only way I got into quality smallies this year was finding them shallow before it got too light out....I'm slowly changing my habits (shallow jerks and weightless plastics) and will have the deeper action stuff dialed in for next season. Time for fall fatties now though!
  15. I saw your post and thought "this better not be chocolate rain again!" Then just started dying of laughter....that's awesome! Also....is that Terry's avatar at the beginning?
  16. WOW!!! THAT'S AWESOME!!! You're a hero Ron....well done!!
  17. Fantastic fish....what a thrill on (what I'm guessing was) a small creek. Well done!
  18. awesome stuff....I also like the "life's too short comment".....thanks for sharing and motivating
  19. Ohhh my gosh that thing is beautiful. Nicely done...you threw everything you had and came up with a winner. C'MON DANA....get out there one more time!!!! And yes, you will learn to love the ice
  20. Yup...a silent hit by a largie usually means that he's got it all the way in his mouth, and is usually a larger fish. Big head...skinny body...at the right time of year I would say 6lbs might be right....hard to tell how chunky he is in the pics though. Doesn't really matter...it's a gorgeous fish!
  21. Awesome stuff! I got out for a bit on Sunday, up north, and noticed the same thing...fish cruising open flats. They sure come from a long way off when you start rippin those crankbaits
  22. Choc-lit raaayyyyyyne Now you got me singin' it
  23. Easy to see why they call them rockets.....man that first pike just disappeared in an instant! Fun times
  24. FANTASTIQUE!!! Great report...love the father-son stuff
  25. That was a really weird trip you just took me on. "Look deep into the past.....now look at this insane fish! Now look back, and remember the details of your childhood...now look at more massive fish! Ok slow down and remember what it was like to grow up....now more fish!" Maybe I just need a coffee....or maybe I need to look back more...thanks Bunker....I think
