Well bigcreek, you were wise to chomp down hard on your tongue....I've run into a couple nasty attitudes at the border as well. Sure is frustrating that the best course of action is to keep quiet. Here's a funny one a friend of mine from Newfoundland told me. Years ago, before Nfld was officially part of Canada, he was headed to the States with his fiancee and her parents. At the border, he thought he'd get a laugh out of the officer by saying "I'm not from Canada, and I'm not from the U.S...I don't know where I'm really from". Needless to say it was a long ride the rest of the way getting reamed out by his father-inlaw to be I'd love to hear a bit more about what you caught at Fireside Lodge....was just checking their website out on the weekend actually.

I'd just hand-bomb it in from Monck Road....then scoot up and park at the Head Lake beach/launch parking lot. Or....if the culvert's passable, launch on Head then squeeze through into Rush

Every summer your bass reports get better and better....you should put a before and after comparo together of MTBF when he started on OFC vs. present day Amazing bass....love that slop....and the last pic is a magazine cover....great work to whoever's on the camera. I GOTTA know though....what paint did you use for the boat? Gotta do some touch ups, and yours look great....would love to know what you used and where you got it.

The launch is a bit steep, but not bad...parking for maybe 10 vehicles at the top, if I recall. When I went, there were a few vehicles parked just using the beach....but if the tourney started early and you all parked in nice and tight, it would likely be fine for 6 or 7 teams. I keep wanting to do this tourny with the wife....by next year our daughter will be 2 and a half....and Head lake is super close to the in-law's cottage....might just work out nicely. I'll be keeping tabs on it
