  1. That is why I deal face to face.....
  2. WHAT! There has been a difference of opinion on this board! Scandalous!
  3. About 5 minutes
  4. Ah yes the best breed of all, Lab!
  5. S'now one cares about anyone else these days it seems......sad isn't it. One would think that we would have at least a trickle down effect of precipitous thought for one's fellow man. You watch this is going to snowball into a big ball of an issue, I think I need a tissue just thinking about the massive downfall of this attitude along our shores. On the bright side, however, we may be in for a warming of our collective hearts. Then this cold, unfeeling man will not have a snowball's chance and will have to warm up to the rest of us. If he does not then may he melt away and gladden our hearts with SOFT WATER! apologies to all
  6. Look on the bright side it is supposed to be + 5 Thursday......
  7. Just a thought here....Can a transom saver be jury rigged with a piece of 2 x 8 a hinge and clamp down strap. Bolt the hinge to the trailer screw the 2 x 8 to the hinge , cut a "V" into the other end of the 2 x 8 and wrap tight with a tie down strap. (BTW Bernie if your Hummingbird is looking for a home, I may be able to find one for it.)
  8. I have a 1999 Safari and it tows my Apache trailer no problem. It is based on an S10 chassis, so it is actually a truck.
  9. OK, jokes over, can we have spring now???
  10. I lived through the blizzard of 77. Now that was a storm! This is just a PITA storm. Ran out to The big orange box this morning and drove like it was normal. GCD don't try that where you are as the roads may be slippery....
  11. I have seen one in action, and it works very well.
  12. Would you like fresh ground pepper with that Sir?
  13. My daughter says it is a "Mohawk fish"
  14. That is exactly why I am flying out of YYH and not YYZ, a 3 minute commute to the airport, I increase my property values by using the airport, and I don't have to worry about parking my car. I can see my house from the most common take off and landing route into YYH (Hamilton Airport) Getting back to my ORIGINAL question, where do I sit in order to best enjoy the views that will be availible???? I have no fear of flying or crashes, my brother in law works as a professional pilot and AME in the jungles of Indonesia and cycles on runways that are infinetly more dangerous than anything we have in North America and has a perfect record. This has given me confidence in the men and women in the cockpit and in the hangers as well as the machines they operate and maintain.
  15. I live tucked into the armpit of the north south and east west runways of YYH so I should be able to figure out the runway / direction of takeoff etc. It's always with the wind, right??????
  16. I am flying to Calgary on Tuesday and was wondering where I want to sit in order to benefit from the view available while flying. As a matter of fact the flight path will take me over my house and I would like to photogragh it as I go by. Please don't say "window seat" I got that figured out already.
  17. That looked like a skilled pilot doing a "touch and go". Do not ever forget the individuals that fly airliners are very skilled and excercise very good judgement in handling those machines.
  18. As a contractor......I'm impressed! That was a great bit of ingenuity that you demonstrated. Congratulations on the project. Well done!
  19. it boils down to: " Who you are when no-one is looking" WHat is the right thing to do, and what was your reaction when they made a mistake and tried to bill you 10 for a 2 dollar item?
  20. I was going to ask, "So what are the charges?" , but that is a hecka ofa fish! Congrads and good luck!
  21. I just bought one of these things last night. A Garmin 250w. You can load more maps on them?? It already has all of north america on it I thought.
  22. In my considered opinion, Mike Holmes is a sell-out. He is a very good tradesman, there is no disputing that, however his becoming a shill for HD, ( a company that porports to be a supplier to the contracting industry, and then competes for the same work as its' customers), is hypocrytical in my opinion. Arrogant.....yes, however he can back it up. A lot of what he does is overkill, and far beyond the budget of a average person. He reminds me of several individuals that I worked with at different points of my carreer. Do it my way or the highway. There is a Dutch word that describes his personality type very well....eighewise. eighe = self wise=wise. There is a whole lot more conotations in this word which cannot be adequatly translated in english.
  23. Try calling Fishmaster, or PM him he knows the river I believe.
  24. My wife nearly had to call 911 I was laughing so hard!
