There is a motel i stay at on HWY 37 just south of tweed called the Sunrise. Clean 2 beds, fridge, good TV no kitchen though. Rates are good $70 bucks a night taxes in. 613-478-2326 Fish around the islands there are only 3 and also where the river exits my dad got a 50"er there years ago. Fishing is sometimes tough ..... sometimes easy. Great little lake produces big fish!

the Leafs are Stanley Cup contenders. What a great team effort. The Sabres were no match.

As a lifelong retailer and now retail business owner who has seen shoplifters, counterfeiters, frauds, and other scam artists cross my path..... I say thanks for being honest!

Nice fish Matt.

When they're on ... they're everywhere! Went on thurs and met a guy at the launch who went 2.5 days with nothing! Fish were turned off. We went 4 for 6 on thurs and saw lots of boats catch fish so I can only imagine the weekend was great!

Gartner is retired. Just sayin'. Leafs are a strange team... can't win at home ... always better on the road. Couple of outstanding saves by Riemer made me yell "wow" lol. Nice to see the team finally wake up while the opposition sleeps for once.

For the first time in a while the Leafs are meeting my expectations. I expected nothing and that's what they are giving. Carlyle will be gone in 10 games. Not that its his fault but they should have changed things up. Look at Winnipeg bringing in Paul Maurice last year it made a difference. I wish Hamilton had a team, so I had someone other than the Leafs to cheer for.

Watched the game... same ol' same ol'. Lousy defense, can't hold a lead yada yada yada.

Only a Tard would do something like that.

Keep pounding Moira and Stoco... the fish are there ... timing is everything on those lakes.

Rice Lake had a Muskies Canada outing that would account for a few boats.

Once while fishing our favorite muskie spot on Pigeon Lake, my bro and I notice this boat heading towards us at full speed. We watch as it gets closer and realize we are on a collision course. We quickly reel in our baits and I start the motor and put it in gear. The boat quickly turns and to our surprise we see OPP on the side. Then the jarhead pulls up beside me and asks me why I was trying to get away. Now i'm all for the OPP checking boats but that was a ridiculous way of handling the situation.

Here's a lure tip ... was talking to a couple guys at our monthly Muskies Canada meeting who fish the Kawarthas.. They have caught 92 muskies this year. Mostly on bucktails size double 8. Also smaller size bulldawgs. Bigger isn't always better is the moral of the story.

One muskie rod is not enough! Really depends where you fish and what you like to throw. Longer rods once you try them .. you will never go back. As for line ... minimum 80lb. I got a backlash with 50lb once and watched my Manta break off and fly away!

Great job catching and releasing that fish! :clapping:

He's definitely back peddling. And now, made himself look like an even bigger ass.

No PB's size wise but 4 muskies in one day on a topwater is some kind of PB for me.

As a life long fan of the Leafs, I will still watch the games just because I love watching hockey. I have no expectations from them this year as we all know the script. Early push, mid season collapse, end of season push. I would like to see Carlyle get these guys playing like a team, if not, bye bye!

Yup been there myself. 2 years ago while I was out fishing some jerkwad broke my truck window and made off with lots of goodies even my boots! Lowest form of life.

Dammit! I wanted that name but took grief for it on here and had to change it. Hello super dave from the other guy who wanted to be superdave.

Any lip balm with SPF should work. reapplying is the key. This sounds funny but my lips are super sensitive to the sun and without blistex with SPF I won't even venture out. I also wear a buff. I have lip balm everywhere. Truck, boat, raincoat pocket etc. Never go without. And reapply often!!
