  1. Of course all the uneducated Leaf fans out there think this means a Stanley Cup. Welcome to the pressure cooker, Mike.
  2. Caps and Rangers was an epic battle. Really enjoyed watching them fight it out. In the end, goaltending was the difference. Both goalies played great though. Ovie tried to guarantee a win like the Moose, but, c'mon .... who does he think he's fooling.
  3. I heard they were going for $1000 .... $500 would be a great deal! I think they are not refundable though if they crash into something. Not 100% sure about that.
  4. I am also subjected to the same treatment wherever I shop. I just take the high road and politely say " no thanks". It's that simple. I have found in my 30 years of retail that customers are extremely generous and a very small percent get upset over being asked.
  5. Well guys let me say this... as a retailer, remember that it's the cashiers job to ask. They don't want to .. but are forced to. So please don't take it out on them. It's the giant corporate brainstorm to have the stores collect the donations. We do it twice a year, hate it... but have to do it. Then they set targets for stores to hit to make it a competition so that stores that collect less look bad. And no one wants to look bad. Every penny we collect goes directly to the cause.
  6. This is common practice these days. Unfortunately, people are discharged every day without consent. My mother in law was discharged in December, sent home without proper clothing or shoes!
  7. Knipex are the best imo. I think Lowes sells them.
  8. Your bias opinion is bang on. Cute kids for sure. Great to see the little guy fishing ... and the smiles are priceless.
  9. Excellent customer service. Kudos to Cabela's.
  10. As long as theres enough water to get my new boat near your dock Tom.
  11. Well,,,,, wearing pink never meant anyone was gay.
  12. Don't forget to ask about bears. Had one destroy my campsite there a few years back. Great place to camp and fish otherwise.
  13. Good luck holding a big pike or muskie with those lol. At least you won't lose a finger.
  14. I wear Columbia fishing shirts available at Bass Pro. Also the Worldwide Sportsman brand. A wide brim hat is a must, and a buff for neck/face protection. Don't forget long pants, as we usually ignore the back of our legs and pay for it! SPF 30 minimum sunscreen and don't forget SPF lip balm. Nothing worse than a nasty sun blister on your kisser! Tons of different clothing out there prices are not cheap for this kind of stuff but it's well worth it. The sun is my enemy.
  15. The Odyssey is one great Canadian Muskie show! The cool thing is the access you will have to all the specialized bait makers out there. Don't miss it, only comes around every second year!
  16. Enjoy your retirement. Go fishing. A lot. Do work around the house. Volunteer at a pet shelter or something to help fill your time. I know absolutely nothing about owning a fishing camp, but imagine its one giant headache.
  17. My question is.... when did you find a nice day like that last November?????
  18. Ths should be a substantial fine. If one muskie getting bonked on the Detroit River can cause such a fuss, this should have been an uproar! Will be interesting to see if we hear anymore regarding this. If only the perpetrator(s) were caught on camera.
  19. Nice to see some feistiness in the game tonight. Not like the old battle of Ontario, but not a bad game. I think this Hamburgular guy is gonna fall from his high horse soon. Then the rest of the team will follow.
  20. I agree he's just made himself look worse. Didn't think that was possible. Glad he got fined and lost his license.
  21. I agree this does not make any sense. I'm going to hire the Terminator to watch my boat.
  22. That sucks. Out of sight out of mind obviously not working in this case. I hate thieves.
