  1. There are not many of us who would arrive at a destination like that and say to ourselves... " its too rough lets call it off". Unfortunately our love of the outdoors and anticipation of fun and excitement overrules our ability to make a rational decision. Been there, done that. Some are just luckier than others. I have paddled Opeongo many times and almost every time it was "too rough" to go.
  2. As a musky guy who started bass fishing a few years ago ... go for the higher gear ratio. If you pursue summer bass there is nothing like a burned in spinnerbait getting hammered by a smallie.
  3. Top ten is difficult ... to start you need a topwater lure of some kind Topraider easiest to use and it produces... A bucktail or 2 ... you didn't say what type of reel you had so stick with Mepps musky killers they catch fish ... A body bait or crankbait .. an 8" Jake is perfect to cast or troll a depthraider will get down deep cast or trolled... Soft plastics ... a bulldawg but remember you need a rod that can throw them... Not ten but who needs ten baits? That's why most of us muskie nuts have hundreds of 'em LOL
  4. Predictable ending to a predictable season. And Matt continues to get the last Laff!
  5. Bottom line is the entire Maple Leaf organization has once again let down their fans. It's pathetic how a team can collapse every season yet never seem to learn from it. A real joke.
  6. stay away from the Frabill storm suit I bought into the hype (literally) it's ok but 1st heavy rain my butt got wet. Also don't like the hood it protrudes too far ... keeps ya dry but feel like your fishing from a tunnel.
  7. Well it appears the Leafs will yet again let down their fans with a brutal collapse. More fuel for Muskymatt's fire. Matt may say some things that get some of us a bit angry, but the truth of the matter is he's right. And that's what hurts the most. This most recent fail is just another chapter in a very thick book of failure. Carlyle has to be gone since he cannot get the players to play any system, and as for the players many of them need to look in the mirror. I enjoy watching Gardiner and Reilly speeding around the rink and believe they both have a great future. Looking forward to watching some great playoff games and enjoying some great hockey. Golf Leafs Golf
  8. the first period was their best of the year. Outshooting the Ducks 11-9 and 2-0 on the scoreboard. Great game!
  9. Been there a few times for muskie ... tough fishing.
  10. I own a pet store in Hamilton and a couple customers already been in to buy skunk shampoo for their dogs that recently got sprayed. The skunks obviously don't care about the polar vortex their internal clocks are bringing them out.
  11. They were due you could almost predict that one. One thing you can say about the Leafs is that they win and lose as a team. Everyone stunk last night.
  12. Common sense tells me when a river is named " Parana" I shouldn't be swimming in it.
  13. yup zero confidence when they play the Bruins. Doesn't matter who they have played well against prior. The Bruins simply have their #. I know some Bruin fans and believe me i'd love for the Leafs to destroy them. Ain't gonna happen, jus' sayin'.
  14. Reality check guys. The Bruins own the Leafs as simple as that. Forget the 3 wins in the playoffs last year that was a different team. This team has Zero confidence going into Boston.
  15. Bruins tonight .... might as well not dress and give Boston the 2 points. Just a fact unfortunately.
  16. I agree. some of the best fishing info out there. Way too much fluff on WFN.
  17. seems to be the only way they win. Very strange stat. A better game tonight, but still some horrendous pinches especially Franson.
  18. I live in Stoney Creek. My smallie fishing has taken place on the upper and lower Niagara as well as Lake Erie. I fish both Canadian and U.S. waters. While muskie has been my fish of choice for 18 years, the smallmouth fishery that exists in the Niagara region is fantastic!! Favorite way to catch both species is on top. Cheers
  19. Name changed. Pigeontroller.... amazed you can find anyone who can stand you in the boat
