An excellent vid that I watch every year! Doc "Popsicle" has several other cold water survival vids too! I'm both disappointed and irritated by the number of board members that post cold water fishing reports and ignore their PFD's and only wear their flotation suits for protection from the colder air temps. Cold water doesn't have to be frozen over with ice to kill you!!!

They're more of a "slack water" species... but ya never know!

An absolutely beautiful home and property Lew!!! You and your wife really deserve it for working hard and staying cooped up in the city for all those years! You'll really like how quiet and relaxing the country life is! It is more work owning a larger property, but it'll keep you out of trouble and give the Muskies mouths a chance to heal up! I agree with the others that suggest buying a good riding mower, I recommend a John Deere... but not one of those Home Depot ones, go to a dealer. I've had great service out of the John Deere "K" series engine... you don't get that engine in the ones from Home Depot! Congratulations on your new home and property, you're gonna love it!!!

A heavy leader will change the action of a plug... but it's gotta be real heavy. I think you have the fish confused with them "Blue Belly Yankees"!!! Most fish attack prey head first, so they can swallow it without the dorsal spines sticking in their mouth or throat.. you would have a lot more hookups by removing the rear hook! Pike are the worst fish for "T-boning" prey, then they swim off and turn the victim around to swallow id headfirst. Experiment with your plugs in the bath tub or something.. maybe throw it out on top of the ice and see what kind of action it has eh?!!! All joking aside, removing the back hook will be your best bet and it won't impede the lures action!

You actually have less than a half of a boat if it doesn't have level flotation! Launch it with the drain plug OUT!... if water comes up thru the bilge drain in the floor... you really do need another boat!!! Might I suggest a TRACKER?

You should'a bought a TRACKER Dude!!!.. I can fish all day with the drain plug out of mine and never have water come up out of the bilge drain!... don't ask me how I know this! It's the sign of a tough economy! Municipalities are making money any way they can! We've only heard one side of the story, the poor innocent drunks side! Those officers must have had some kind of suspicion to approach those folks in the first place... I'll bet the karaoke couple were still singing songs out in the street, and the walking guy wasn't walking as straight as he thought! I don't guess anyone reading this thread realizes that drunks out in public are easy prey for muggers, thieves... and worse! There are ordinances against public intoxication for a reason eh! The nail on the head as well! The babies that whine are the ones that get hurt or mugged and sue the government!... and Canada will payoff some of the most trivial law suits I've ever seen!!!
