Buck and 2R's...back to the Colorado River

Maybe you'd have better luck there using soft plastics in a desert Scorpion... or Gila Monster pattern? -

I'd be more concerned about what make and model the motor is to start with, if it's a Chrysler... forget about it! The no pic thing would also be a red flag to me. -
Don't worry too much about the poachers Vinni, they'll get caught soon enough. A digital camera has become a necessary tool for the avid fisherman these days... and we love to see pics of poachers on here!!! You can get a pretty nice digital camera for under 100 bux now, maybe Santa should bring you one? If the estrogen level was 3 to 1 in this house, I'd go fishing every day! Tell your wife to quit hitting you in the head with the wooden spoon!

I blame Cliff for a lot of things, almost everything actually!... but not for my inability to catch fish or put other people on fish!!! Joe, you and Will should know that just because you caught fish in a certain area last year, last month, last week, or even yesterday.. doesn't mean you'll catch them there today or tomorrow. Given Cliffs track record for the year, I'm sure he could have caught a Pike anytime he wanted to... but just didn't want to embarrass you and Will! Y'all should have tried Bernies Wonder Jigs @ Thompsons Point... I'm sure Cliff would've stomped a mudhole in y'alls butts there... and loaded the boat with Pike!!!

Yeah Buddy!!!... been using the improved clinch all my life!!!

DING DING DING!!! Give that man a cigar!!!

I believe you John! (and not just because you said nice things about me either!) I don't know Rob or Ron, but I know that Chris guy (I've spent time in a boat with him)... he would rather climb to the top of a telephone pole to tell a fib, than stand on the ground and tell the truth! It sounds like a great time y'all had!... but I gotta tell ya, when you mentioned there wasn't any alcohol involved it made me shudder and a little nauseous

Hey Simon!... If you can't find the tubes, give the Berkley Gulp Fish Fry a shot... but get the 2 inchers, the 1 inch are too small in my opinion. They're available at BassPro.

REDNECK!!! I have a super wally 15 miles to the east and 20 miles to the west of me, both are open 24 hrs. a day 7 days a week, 363 days a year.. they only close for Easter Sunday and Christmas Day! Wal-Mart isn't just a shopping experience... it's a CULT!!! ... as for the the people that don't like Wal-Mart, we'd appreciate it if you wouldn't shop there... it makes the checkout lines shorter... and we didn't want to shop with your nasty anyway!!!

Preheat at 350*F, apply your power and return it to the oven to "flash" (turn glossy)... remove after it flashes (I like to wait until the oven comes back up to 350 then remove) and let cool completely, then return them to the oven @350 for 30 minutes to cure. You can buy a cheap little toaster oven at Wal-Mart or the likes for under $25, money well spent for this application! I got one last year at this time for $20 and it's still going strong, while you're at Wal-Mart go to the kitchen gadgets section and pick up an oven thermometer ($4) to put in your oven... the temp knob on the cheap toaster ovens aren't very accurate. Powder painting requires a certain amount of trial and error before you get a good handle on it, keep at it and you'll be rewarded!!!

I use it all the time on my jigs! How are you heating and curing your spoons?... I use a toaster oven and can control the heat very well with this method. Are you using a white base coat?... I've found that a white base coat will promote dripping and running unless you cure the base before applying another coat. Are you hanging you spoons vertically to cure them?... I've also found that hanging a jig or spoon horizontally while curing will minimize running and dripping. You may also be over heating your spoons to coat them.. this is why I like using the toaster oven, I've found that 350*F is the best temp for most colors (except white, it does best between 300-325) I like to cure all of my powder painted stuff at 350 for 30 minutes.

... yeah, you can't fix stupid eh! Well since you're a Wal-Mart hater, I guess you've never seen the people that work there... most of them couldn't work somewhere else. Tim Hortons can only employ soo many people in a town yanno. As far as the Wal-Mart shoppers go, they'll just drive to the next closest town that has a Wal-Mart and shop there... taking their tax money with them!!! Those union wannabe's really helped that town eh!

... and if you'll read this board in Oct. and Nov. you'll see that there are quite a few folks that can't catch a Bass to save their green toothed granny in cold water... try as they might!

I Think I got Screwed.... What do you Think??
Greencoachdog replied to Leecher's topic in General Discussion
Hey Jacques! I would take the rod back to the store that I bought it from and ask to speak to the manager, explain what happened in a rational manner and ask him if you can exchange it for the MH model... if they're worth their salt and care about their customers you shouldn't have a problem... if they won't do it, I would not shop there again. -
It all works!... model paint, rattle can sray paint, fingernail polish! It's a hobby!... or can be... it can also grow int an obsession/addiction! Have a look around this site and you'll see what I mean. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/index

Greencoachdog replied to brifishrgy's topic in General Discussion
It sounds like you have the one piece molds... you should step up to the 2 piece molds to make the good round stuff! The tackle underground site has some good tutorials on hand pouring and injecting 2 piece molds for soft plastics! -

This is a great site for getting started making your own tackle! http://www.tackleunderground.com/community...-soft-plastics/ They have some soft plastic bait making tutorials, and there are other Canadians on the site as well (it is an American site, but has folks from all over the world on it!) I was going to suggest Luremaking.com for supplies, but it doesn't look like they handle soft plastic equipment or supplies.
