  1. Make a handle and use the top peice to make an ice fshing rod.
  2. Bump it up, second place by 75 votes. C'mon people
  3. Oh yeah and if you feel like exploring, check out Palmer Rapids for shore fishing. We've caught everything in that area, just be careful about navigating with your car, lots of rock and slope, I hung my car up and tore half my bumper off but it was well worth the smallie slaughter we did that day... no lies but every cast was a fish ( on tubes ) for an hour straight. Best day of fishing this year for me. I was supposed to go up this weekend too Bring your camera and bring us pictures
  4. We went fished that lake from Barry's Bay three weeks ago, its intense fishing, we were hitting nickel peice smallies like no bodies business on tubes and that causeway everyones talkin' about is hot. I've fished that area for 10 years and the amount of pike one can pull from there is awesome, lots of fish! Those old school, jointed rapalas in chartuese, pick a couple up! You'll need two, haha!
  5. I'm vote number 898.
  6. Maybe they didn't care for you, I know my dad for instance wouldn't give you the time of day, me on the other hand will talk up a storm. Eastern Europeans are by far the worst, especially Latvians
  7. Great report! Just a little information here. Try no to hold a snapper by its tail, you could cause damage from all that weight hanging downwards.
  8. 50 lb. braid, 3 oz. bell sinker and the biggest treble hook you can find! ...and did someone just say 6 pound test?!?!? I stay away from the creeks during the salmon run.
  9. what the hell?!?!?!?!?! hahaha
  10. Yeah boy!
  11. Be careful, they have these guys going around looking for people cheating, that 15 minute supervisor verification process is the time they need to dispatch their private investigators to your house if they think something is fishy. The boater exam is no laughing matter, this is serious business here. They don't want you doing it from your own house, with another window open on the study guide page while your supervisor is on vacation. The supervisor gets an email but doesn't need to activate anything. Happy and safe boating, remember to hang the life jacket in the sun after using it, which was answer C I beleive.
  12. Dave Mercer doesn't cross lines, fishing taught him that.
  13. I agree. Most peoples thaughts would be " I can drive well, I wont kill anyone " and wham, behind the wheel they go. If they got busted and had to shell out 20,000 big ones, beleive me, they wouldn't risk it. And this entire age discrimination thing... Lets be real here, most of the times you hear of accidents of drunk drving, its kids. Specifically males between 19 - 25, young, stupid, confident, invisible, going at 160 km/hr. Happened to a couple of buddies of mine, now they're dead, thankfully no innocent people died. I can bet you 75% people on this board have driven under the influence or been in a vehicle with someone under the influence. It happens every day. To say they are targetoing young people is nuts, if you're 45 and get busted for drinking and drving you should be punished even harder for being around longer and supposedly knowing better! I suppose this new law is a step forward in the right direction, unfortunately its a small step in a problem that needs a lot of work on. FishnNAutographs for cheif!
  14. Fished there once before off the 400 off Crooked Bay and the pike were one after the other. Watch your prop
  15. Meh, in my opinion there should be stiffer rules for driving under the influence. I don't think 1 beer affects driving. Doesn't for me. I think harsher penalties and stiffer laws put in place will deter people from getting behind the wheel after drinking. 10's of thousands of dollars in fines, lawayer fees and a 3 year suspension for first offence. My guess there would be a hell of a lot less drunks on the road.
  16. Laker fishing around Killbear dad hooked the downrigging ball on the bottom and down the rigger went. Next day caught a bunch of lakers ( a couple 30"+ ) and decided to go try to fish the downrigger out. Ended up with two fishing rods from the bottom of the water, haha. I've caught a turtle, a dog, myself, rescued a seagull once and my buddy caught a bat, unfortunately it drowned in the water after it hit the lure in mid air.
  17. Both stories are awesome, fishing is great isn't it?
  18. You look like one happy camper!
  19. I try different things all the time, especally trout fishing in tribs. Last year on a trib there were about ten people fishing, oneguy had a 6 inch husky jerk with a baitcaster, he'd let the lure swim into trees, and had fish while people throwing roe and flies were doing a lot worse. Personally, I started using swimbaits for bass this year ( I'm a rookie ) and I love it! Watching that lure move just under the surface is awesome, I am always excited watching it move like an injured fish and making it look flawless, then WHAM!!!! haha
  20. Nice catch! Toothy fish rule!
  21. Its a crazy life cycle, they had this bug on one of David Attenbroughs nature flicks. Its not for me though, I'll live under ground when I die, thank you very much
  22. I'm reading along, I'm thinking a PB 7. lb largie! haha! Good one. Congratulations!
