Fair enough, but the fishes eyes is qute similar to ours, so its only far to speculate they see what we see. I mean, its only a stupid fish, as long as its yippershhhnap locks onto ours hooks I dont think we care what it sees. -
Awesome

Maybe I'm inexperiened with ticks, but I've never had them anywhere else but my armpits and crotch areas. Bite into the puss, let it pour out, and after two weeeks its still gving you a problem, see a doctor.

FW Ontario fish wise... 30 lb Channel Cat... FW in general, electric catfish sounds pretty fun. SW, great white... can you see the trend here? No body wants anything to do with these fish so I thnk I live a pretty decent life. Great idea for a thread -

Disturbing Finds...at a Back, Back Hidden Lake
Dozer replied to Whitespinnerbait's topic in General Discussion
Ddn't you hear what happened up in Haliburton some 5 years ago? 5 cotaggers were walking around in the forest when two guys apporached them with guns and held them hostage, only to let them go a day or two later, they called the cops and a huge plantation was found. Careful with your footing Brock, these folks dont mess around. -
Hey, I'm headng up north near Algonquin Park, just outside the east side of the park. I have caught speckle trout in these areas over the years, but have never purposely targetted them. I've been watching the speck reports hard this year to pick up as much as I can. I picked up a bunch of small spinners, small cranks, a few small spoons that I will use in my arsenal to try to catch a few of these fish. I've caught them near fallen trees in lakes and rivers that connect lakes together. I guess what I'm looking for are a few more pointers on how to increase my catch. Not for dinner. For example, mid day in May, on this small lake, the surface came alive with specks surfacng for whatever reason (food?), I jumped into the kayak, casting distance into the exact same spot and worked it hard. Worked the bottom as well and nothing produced. I ran dfferent spinners, cranks, live worms, eventually I gave up since I figured I've spoooked the fish. So ya, any tips will help the noobie out. I also tossed a few fly patterns at fish I could see in the creeks, I tell ya, I was very frustrated spending over 8 hours casting at this bloody fish over two days while the friggin' cockroach and his stupid speckle buddies surfaced every 15 minutes, taunting me, bringing me close to having a damned anxiety attack, having thaughts of going into the creek and dismantling its stupid wooden outpost he calls home just so he can move on and I would never see it again. Any fly patterns anyone would recommend? I've done a few google searches and have a general idea of things but personal experience would be helpful. I will report back with pictures come Tuesday evening Yours truley, A frustrated fisherman

At least you didn't agree to become a humancentiPad. Things could be a LOT worse! -
Ya, thats a koi by the looks of it, or as someone mentioned a hybrid. I've seen a dead one in Lake Ontario before near my house. If anyone ever catches one try to keeep it alive and sell it through kijiji, easily get 20 bucks for it that day.

Correction... Sorry, the lnk takes you to another HorseShoe Lake for some reason. Google Horseshoe Lake Parry Sound and look for the intersection of those two roads rght off the highway. If my mind serves me right its literally near Lioness and HorseShoe Lake Rd.

I visit Horseshoe Lake a few times a year at my buddies cottage. Like Rizzo, I've only caught small mouth and pike there. We fish out of a canoe and sometimes my buddies powerboat, no depth finder or anything and always catch something when we actually go fishing. Don't see a lot of fsherman out on the lake most of the time either.

8 minutes of ear candy. Another good tune, here are the lyrics... Take a chance in those wonderful words you just don't understand I can show you the way but I know that you'll never be there All the time, all the shine of your eyes I would never forget All I know there's no time, there's no life, there is no turning back There is no turning back There is no turning back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZiCvGFnpJ4 Powerful stuff.
