  1. Look at those pupils!
  2. I enjoyed the pictures, thanks for posting
  3. So we ended up headin' out. Water had 1 foot vis. in the morning, and somewhat brown, nearing mid afternoon the level dropped about a foot and a half and turned green. Caught a few fish, but most importantly I caught what is my new PB, no measurements taken but I cenrtainly put this fish over 12 lbs. My new PB steelie. Fish were taken in the green water on white brown roe bags. I think the entire riverside heard the excitement.
  4. Maybe... " You've seen what I can do with a human, you should see what I can do with a fish" Maybe not...
  5. Tell him/her fishing and work are unrelated, you love to fish and hate to work... if you don't like your job or just want to mess with him/her a little.
  6. By the way, the plants are competing for very limited resources to promote growth, if you want the others to grow, get rid of some of the hygros.
  7. Let the trimming begin! That plant growing all big and ushy, I think is called hygro. Great plant, but grows very, very fast. The ones on the bottom left are amazon swords? You may have them loose their leaves, but not to worry, its part of adjusting to your tank. That wrinkled ones I think are Java ferns? Very good growing in low light and can handle a lot of stress, but very slow growing. As a previous post stated, trim back. Unless you want them growing out the tank and flowering, which I dont recommend, you need light reaching the swords. I see you have an aqurium sponge as your filter? Is that all? If it is, I suggest you do not add many more fish, your plants will do a fantastic job of filtering, but cannot handle a big bio load. A couple more tetras would be okay to add, like neons, but wat for the tank to establish a bit, it still looks mighty young Maybe throw in a little corydora, or some type of algae eater, but make sure it gets food at the bottom. If you have any questions, message me, I'll help with what I can.

    Possum

Lucky, the possum around our neighbourhood is a nasty fellow. Our possum eats our grapes and we find fecal matter all over the roof.
  10. Thanks for the quick response, by big SW blow what exactly do you mean? I just checked the winds from yesterday it was blowing 50 km/h SW for several hours.
  11. The oppurtunity to go fishing tomorrow came up as I was offered a day off work. I checked the charts, the level of the Niagara is dropping, but I dont know whether or not the water would be fishable or not, as I have VERY little experence fishing that area. Could any of you be so kind as to letting me know if the water is decent enough to fish? Thanks, Niagara Noob

  23. He talks so slowly you can fast forward the show and still understand what he's saying
  24. I will have to disagree the "fish can see you" statements regarding spooking the fish. Yes, they can see us, and will be spooked, however, that doesn't mean they wont hit. As Kemper put it, floating a bag in front of them ususally doesn't work. And as Aaron stated, he would rather be fly fishing in stuations like these. See something here? I was at a creek, its absolutely stacked, low and clear. Overall, people said its slow, loogans everyhwere, red and white bobber dropping and flopping all over the place, even a couple of people throwing spoons... most people would turn around and go home. Managed a fish within the first 15 minutes. Fish struck the fly in 8 niches of water, 5 feet in front of me. Last week, rocking a flatfish, had two fish connect within 15 minutes while people around haven't caught a thing in the several hours they were there. Then I deorated a tree with my flatfish. These fsh also struck my bait, right at my feet. Adapt to the situation. If you scare the fish and they shoot off, you can try fshing for them, but don't think you will have much luck. Next time people come to your hole while you're fshing with a buddy, deter them somehow
