No one has even picked up that you as one of the OFC community (one of our own) is doing a national TV show because of what they know not who they know. Keep at it and keep your contacts up to date. I've met a few of these TV guys over the years, business and non business related. Some are great and some are a little rough Italo and Henry did some in store seminar days back in the 80's at lebarons when I worked there. They seemed alright guys and were very friendly to me. They did what they were paid to do and that's push product. I don't have the same good experience with several of the top ontario bass pros of that time. Wow I must be in their files. Been checked many times over the years. Three times just last ice fishing season (2 Simcoe, 1 Lake Joseph. Even got pulled over on the 400 last summer to check fish limits and boat trailer. Always run into them on the weekends off Bronte on Lake Ontario. They pull along side do a quite life jacket, fishing license and off again. Don't even have to stop trolling. It's when you don't have the basics that they start looking deeper for safety, ownership, empty beer bottles.

Will be in that neck of the wood same time and the mainstay up there is a bottom bouncer 1/2-1 oz and a worm harness to cover water. Start off with #3 blades - orange, red, greens and move up in size. Sometimes even a #2 blade is the ticket. You can circle the lake trolling the shoreline but find the rock shoals in 15-30 FOW. Evening jig bites are good and we catch quite a lot on slip floats with small jig and worm/leech. Worms are all you'll need in bait. If you want minnows just take a dip net with you and check the beaver lodges. You might have to check a few places but you shouldn't have to travel too far find another beaver lodge. Loads of pike too. Try casting some xraps or other minnow baits up on top of the rock shoals in the evenings

The Rapala Tough line is very high memory. Although I've been running 20 lb on my riggers and it as good as my old standby Maxima green If you can get a hold of any of the Finesse line it's much better and at that price it's good for a few trips and then change it out

I just spent about a week researching price and features. Best to buy a custom cover through the US. Dollar exchange can't be beat and loads of on line site to compare $ I finally decided on a mooring/travel custom fit for my crestliner 1750 $258.67 USD. Cost me $80 for shipping. Should get it next week so not sure if I will get hit with duty but who cares. I got the bow mount electric motor and engine hood. Color matches my boat too. Had the same problem with my 2002 115 Merc last year. Spider web was completely blocking the port. Took it inot the marina thinking I needed a new impeller. A good blast from an air compressor fixed it right away. Compressed ait may not be strong enough depending on where the blockage is. Mine was in the lower end and pretty big from what the tech told me.

Most tried and true methods early are boards with minnow plugs,spoons in shallow and then head out with riggers and boards looking for the kings. I never got into a shallow bite last year. fished anywhere from 60 to 200 off Dalhousie last year. Great laker fishery and it coughs up some big brutes every spring. The area from the mouth of the Niagara right through to in from of Hamilton Harbor will have fish in the spring. Invest in a VHF as loads of us are all plugged in out there and sometimes you'll get a helpful hint whether fish are in tight or sitting out in 15-200ft.

I've used 3 different sets over the years on a 24V Minn Kota First set was Interstate 27's - they were alright Kirklands from Costco - noticed I got a lot longer between charges, maybe I just ahd a bad Interstate. Enegizers (best $ is Walmart) seem alright after first season - no problems. I just could not spend the extra $ on the optimas and feel I was getting that much better performance

When on shopping trips to Buffalo with the family, one stop I always make is inot the Topps right beside Gander Mountain. Bush Beans are sooooo gooood!!! Eat em cold right out of the can! Still have 2 cans sitting on my shelf at home but will look for them a wallyland.

Launch is at Queenston or you can put in from Port Dalhousie and make the run down. Queenston puts you right on 2 of the most popular drifts. I learned a lot from http://www.outdoorsniagara.com/ look for the map to show more popular drifts. I've only made a few trips and still in learning mode. Watch boundaries that put you in US waters and make sure you have everything in your boat for a safe trip. DO NOT ANCHOR!!!!! It's drift fishing with roe, streamers, minnows mostly. Get your bait on the bottom. You'll loose a fair bit to snags first few trips.

After a couple of weeks you'll see the same ATV's relisted at lower pricing. Auto trader seems to have a lot of dealers and not much private sales Without seing make and model I'd say a 2001 should be in the $3.5-4K range

TMH when are you there in July. My families always up there last 2 weeks. We bunk in with Rick and stay in the little cottage on the dock. If you see a red crestliner parked on at his dock drop by. We'll go terrorize the smallies up in kokoko or obabika. We always do a couple campfire nights and get the guitars and crown royal out so drop by Paul

Aw Brian you had to mention that. Looks like a trip to Fortinos in the morning. I hate getting these cravings. Worst part is my son eats as much as I do with this stuff so it's double the price. I think I can still get 2 pounds of king crab for $18. Oh what the heck it's a four pound night and maybe I'll even splurge for name brand beer as the leafs will extend the winning streak Dynasty of the future Stahlberg Caputi That's just pitiful!

sounds like a bit of inside information. If they did advertise that it would have been a stampede. I'm feeling a little sour just cause I didn't get one. So the $ I was going to spend there next weekend I'll think I'll spend at LeBarons. I'm taking my ball and going home now!

For regular mono line I really like fresh line. I change up every couple of trips I have most of my spinning reels with about 1/2 the spool filled with backing. I like the red or yellow Raven so it's very visible. Then I fill the rest of the spool with my line weight and type needed. A simple blood knot joins the main line to my backing. I usually get up around 3 spinning reel refills out of a single spool of line so changing up is actaully more affordable for me On reels were I might actually get into the backing once in a while I fill from a bare spool but still change at least every season Like Mepps said some of my braid outfits are getting to be 3+ years now. I remember last year finally pulling off some 50lb Fenwick Iron Thread. Who knows how old that stuff was

Head to a dollarama and go down the summer aisle. They sell 2 items for the summer thant might help you. They have a thin closed cell foam bed roll for camping. I think it's a bout 1/4-1/2 thick. Also in the gardening area they have a 8"x14" kneeling pad for working in the garden. It's about 1" thick and I've used a few of these just re4cently to lock in my fish finder battery inot my small cooler so it doesn't bounce around. You also might find small swim boards there too.

Fish predominantly the north end with a couple of honey holes mid to south side. I'm sure the same lures will work Smallies pop r's against the shore, xraps in the small size best colors for me where the clown and the green back. Berkley 3" gulp any color on a jig. and I'd never leave the dock without a good selection of 4" senkos. dark colors have been ridiculous the last couple of years but also white I drop shot now a lot for smallies up there and use the senkos and 3" Gulp Walleye I like to troll up there to cover water. Walleyes can be the hardest to find in that lake and they move around day to day. Bottom bouncers with a worm harness is hard to beat. Get some local advice as to places to start. At that time of year I don't think people fish deep enough. I like 25-30 FOW for trolling and then move up to 15-20 ft breaks/points for the evening bite. Chartruese and orange blades work best for me. If you do get on the walleye for jigging or just still fishing, slip bobbers are deadly. Worms, leeches and 3" Gulp all work under a slip float. Pike Find a good weed bed in 10 FOW. The best ones are close to wooded shorelines. Cross Bay/Lake is really good pike water. My pike bait of choice is a 5" swim bait. Saw the biggest pike of my life last year follow my swim bait right back to the boat. Just as I flicked it to change direction it exploded the water but missed the bait by a foot. My son doesn't want to go swimming up there any more. Lakers Everybody up there has their fav trolling/jigging spots. Off the riggers - Sutton spoons , ripplin redfins, J9 Rapalas, gang trolls with threaded minnows/small spoons. I also like to troll and achovy head rigged with 4" Gulp. For jigging, bad boys, crippled herrings, swedish pimples. Look for steep drop offs into 80+ FOW - or any deep water shoals/structures.
